Mike Lindell Announces Running Mate For Minnesota’s Gubernatorial Race

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has announced his running mate in Minnesota’s gubernatorial race.

Lindell, who has been fighting lawsuits from voting machine companies over his claims that the 2020 election was rigged, announced his run for governor in December of last year.

Now, the CEO of MyPillow has selected his running mate, and it’s former Navy intelligence officer Phillip Parish.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell announced his lieutenant governor pick Monday as part of his long-shot bid for governor of Minnesota.

Lindell first launched his campaign in December. Announcing the news on Steve Bannon’s War Room, Lindell vowed to “stand for you against the rampant fraud under Governor [Tim] Walz” and “stand for you against unnecessary regulation that strangle the entrepreneurial spirit,” among other things. He also campaign on supporting those “struggling with addiction.”

On Monday, Lindell revealed his running mate would be Phillip Parish. A former intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy, Parrish decided to end his own bid for governor to join Lindell.

“Just Officially Filed!” Lindell said in a tweet. “The two best gubernatorial candidates are joining forces! I’m honored to officially announce @PhillipCParrish as my Lieutenant Governor in my campaign for Governor of Minnesota.”

Yahoo News provided polling for the Republican gubernatorial primary:

There has been little recent independent polling regarding the Minnesota GOP primary, leaving the race largely untested among voters.

A May poll released by Lindell’s campaign—conducted by Big Data Poll—suggested he would narrowly win the primary with 21.3 percent of the vote, compared with 19.4 percent for Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth.

The survey, which included 1,236 registered voters and was conducted between May 18 and May 20, reported a margin of error of plus or minus 2.8 percentage points.

In a hypothetical scenario in which Trump endorsed Lindell, the poll found his support would increase to 35.9 percent, compared with 13.9 percent for Demuth. Trump has not made a formal endorsement in the race.

However, internal campaign polling is not independently verified. The only recent publicly available independent survey—conducted by Peak Insights between January 31 and February 1 and compiled by polling tracker FiftyPlusOne—showed Lindell at 18 percent and Demuth at 17 percent, with all other candidates in the low teens or single digits.

Prediction markets suggest a different outcome. According to Polymarket, Demuth is favored to win the Republican primary, with roughly 64 percent odds compared with about 22 percent for Lindell.
