Although he’s made it clear that he’s not interested in collecting celebrity endorsements, Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate Spencer Pratt is nonetheless finding that his campaign resonates among some of Hollywood’s biggest names.
Most recently, “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer weighed in on the election, giving Pratt a nod and offering a scathing indictment of incumbent Democratic Mayor Karen Bass.
As Fox News reported:
During an interview with Fox News Digital, Grammer spoke briefly about the Los Angeles primaries, which take place on June 2. “He’s the only guy that’s a real option,” the award-winning actor said.
ADVERTISEMENT“We know what the rest is gonna do,” Grammer added.
The Los Angeles mayoral primaries are the first stage of the city’s mayoral election, where voters choose among multiple candidates in a nonpartisan race. Incumbent Mayor Karen Bass faces Pratt and Nithya Raman.
If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, the top two finishers advance to a runoff election later in the year.
Few local races in recent memory have captured the national interest in the same way as the LA campaign did after Pratt threw his hat in the ring:
Hey @jimmykimmel not everyone in Los Angeles can afford private security, a private driver, and a private gated home.
You’re entirely out of touch.

As Not the Bee reported following another recent interview with Grammer:
The California Post (the West Coast sister of the New York Post) caught up with conservative actor Kelsey Grammer and asked him about the Los Angeles mayoral race:
Kelsey: Well, Gavin Newsom, I hope we’ve heard the last of him.
ADVERTISEMENTReporter: What about Los Angeles? What do you think about Karen Bass?
Kelsey: I just call her Karen Bass-ackwards…
It’s perfect. How have I never thought of or heard this before?
Kelsey: That’s what we’ve always called her in my house.
