DISTURBING: Teddy Bear Believed to Be Wrapped in HUMAN Skin Found at California Gas Station

This is both bizarre and disturbing…

That bear looks like something straight out of a horror movie.

Law enforcement is currently investigating.

ABC7 reported:

San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies were called to the AMPM convenience store at Bear Valley Road and Amethyst Road after someone reported finding an object that appeared to be covered in human remains.

The teddy-bear-shaped object was left on the ground right outside of the convenience store, video shows.

The coroner’s office has since picked the object up, and an investigation is underway.

After news broke, all sorts of theories were being floated.

Is it the work of some sick Silence of the Lambs-esque serial killer?

Or, perhaps cartel?

However, the bear appears to be a prank.

Social media users found that this teddy bear, while very horrific-looking, is sold on Etsy.

And no, it’s not real human skin, but made out of latex…at least, according to the product description.

Law enforcement has not verified if this is, in fact, the same macabre teddy bear that was found at the Victorville gas station.

But, they do look very similar, and the artist says he recognizes it as his own work.

He claims that he sold this particular bear to someone last week.

Victorville Daily Press said:

But Robert Kelly, who operates a South Carolina-based business called DarkSeed Creations that specializes in custom, macabre-themed artwork, said he recognized photos of the suspicious item that were being circulated on social media.

“I made this bear and shipped it to a customer last week,” he said in an email. “I’m just finding out about this and getting tagged left and right.”

He took to Facebook to set the record straight.

“So about an hour ago I found out a news article in Victorville Ca has one of my skin bears used in a prank at a bus station there,” he wrote. “My phone is dying from trying to keep up with answering everyone.”

“So here is the basics,” Kelly said. “Yes I made the bear in the news video. Yes that’s my etsy shop screenshotted on [the] news articles. Yes I did ship that bear to an etsy customer in Victorville CA last week. Yes you can still order one too. No I did not have any knowledge of the buyers intentions nor was I involved in a prank on the other side of the nation from me.”
