U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro’s future in the Trump administration is up in the air.
On Monday, Pirro met with President Trump at the White House after he harshly rebuked her for dismissing charges against left-wing Reflecting Pool vandals.
She was spotted leaving that meeting with a large, white box, prompting speculation that she may have been fired.

However, Pirro has not been fired -- at least, not yet.
On Tuesday night, after departing a fundraising event in Los Angeles, President Trump was directly asked if he is going to allow Pirro to keep her job.
"I haven't made a determination," he answered bluntly before re-iterating his disappointment with her handling of the Reflecting Pool vandalism case.

According to a new report from the New York Times, Jeanine Pirro's meeting at the White House with President Trump and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum was extremely intense.

Mr. Burgum had been invited too, so Ms. Pirro came prepared. She entered the White House from the West Executive driveway in a bright red blazer that matched her fight-back mood, schlepping a white box containing evidence, plus a black box with documents, on wheels.
Waiting for her in the Oval Office, along with the president: Mr. Trump’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles, and David Warrington, the White House counsel.
ADVERTISEMENTAfter about an hour of intense back-and-forth, Ms. Pirro emerged with her job intact, for now. Speaking to reporters during a trip to the West Coast on Tuesday evening, Mr. Trump said he had told Ms. Pirro he was “not happy” with her filing and was still weighing her future.
“I haven’t made a determination,” he said when asked if Ms. Pirro’s job was safe.
During the meeting on Monday, Ms. Pirro, her voice raised at times, directly confronted Mr. Burgum, accusing him of misleading the president. She made the case that Mr. Burgum had promoted a self-serving cover story to conceal his own missteps.
Mr. Burgum spoke less, but did his best to defend himself, according to a person briefed on the exchange requesting anonymity to discuss internal conversations.

While taking questions from the press today, Acting AG Todd Blanche backed up President Trump's right to fire Jeanine Pirro, if he determines that's the right course of action.
