BREAKING: U.S. Military Launches Further Strikes on Iran

The U.S. military just hit back at Iran for a second time following the apparent collapse of last week’s ceasefire.

On Friday, the U.S. conducted airstrikes on Iran after an Iranian drone struck a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

Then, on Saturday morning, Iran retaliated by attacking a commercial tanker and launching a drone assault against Bahrain.

We covered that in more detail here:

Now, as promised, the U.S. military has responded to violence with violence.

This afternoon, U.S. Central Command announced additional strikes against Iran.

The latest round of strikes targeted Iranian military infrastructure, communication systems, drone storage facilities, air defense sites, and mine-layer capabilities.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted additional strikes against multiple targets in Iran, June 27, at the Commander in Chief’s direction.

After yesterday’s U.S. strikes in response to the Iranian attack on M/V Ever Lovely, Iran was given a chance to honor the ceasefire agreement but elected not to when its forces launched a one-way attack drone that hit M/T Kiku this morning at 4:30 a.m. ET. The Panama-flagged tanker was transiting near the Strait of Hormuz with more than two-million barrels of crude oil.

CENTCOM forces launched strikes today in direct response to continued Iranian aggression against commercial shipping. U.S. military aircraft targeted Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities.

Commercial vessel transits through the Strait of Hormuz continue. U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready.

Fox News provided further coverage on the strikes in this clip:

BREAKING: The U.S. military launched a new round of airstrikes against Iranian targets Saturday after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC) attacked another commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a senior U.S. official who spoke to Fox News.

The official said the strikes are targeting Iranian air defenses, drone storage facilities, cruise missiles, targeting radars, minelaying capabilities and surface-to-air missile systems.

Footage has also been released of the latest strikes against Iran:

Unfortunately, it looks like Iran is learning the lesson the hard way…

CNN shared President Trump’s response to the latest military action:

President Donald Trump threatened Iran on Saturday, saying the US may be forced to use more military action if Tehran continues to launch strikes.

Trump said that Iran violated the ceasefire agreement and that US aircraft struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, as well as coastal radar sites.

“It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president warned that Iran “will no longer exist” should the US use more military action.
