BREAKING: Congress in Chaos as President Trump Cites ‘National Emergency’, Issues Ultimatum to Pass SAVE ACT

President Trump just threw Congress into a frenzy!

Immediately prior to TODAY’S signing ceremony for a Housing Bill, he suddenly refused to sign the legislation into law!

The reason, according to the President? — because the SAVE Act matters far more.

With this last-minute defiant move, President Trump is refusing to give Congress their token bipartisan ‘win’ by refusing his signature.

And instead, he’s leveraging all that bipartisan focus put on the ’21st Century ROAD to Housing Act’… in order to apply more pressure on passing the SAVE Act!

Is that a genius masterstroke of timing and political gameplay?

Time will tell.

The President framed the housing bill as far less critical compared with the SAVE Act, connecting the former to ‘Pocahontas Warren’ in one social media post on Truth Social this morning:

Here’s the full text of that message from the President:

The Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren centric housing bill, which is of minor importance compared to lower interest rates, and even FISA, pales in comparison to passing THE SAVE AMERICA ACT. That is what Americans, both Dumocrats, Republicans, and everyone else, care about. Get the bad Republicans to approve it or, better yet, Terminate the Filibuster and approve it, AND EVERYTHING ELSE REPUBLICANS HAVE EVER DREAMED OF. The Dumocrats will do it in hour one, 100%. Republicans will feel very stupid if they don’t do it first. I’ll be watching with tears in my eyes!!! President DJT

In hindsight, that was probably a giant red flag that something was up concerning today’s planned signing of the very legislation he just downplayed.

Less than an hour later, the President dropped a legislative bomb on Congress with a subsequent post framing the SAVE Act in terms of a ‘National Emergency’.

And he issued a fierce ultimatum to Congress in the process:

Here’s the full no-nonsense text of THAT banger of a post, for easier reading:

Today’s Housing News Conference and Signing is hereby cancelled until such time as we pass the desperately needed SAVE AMERICA ACT, which I consider to be a National Emergency. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT

The President was questioned about the SAVE Act as compared to the Housing Act as he made his way to the GOP Senate lunch — which was originally intended to follow the signing ceremony.

He was very clear in his response that the SAVE Act literally helps protect America from a communist takeover from within, as reported by Fox News:

President Donald Trump announced a last-minute cancellation of the signing of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act Wednesday, issuing an ultimatum to get the SAVE Act passed.

Earlier Wednesday morning, Trump called the act an “Elizabeth ‘Pocahontas’ Warren centric housing bill,” writing that it is “of minor importance compared to lower interest rates, and even FISA, pales in comparison to passing THE SAVE AMERICA ACT.”

Trump still attended a previously planned GOP Senate lunch at the Capitol where he was set to sign the bill.

While walking into the lunch, Trump was asked by a member of the press if the “election legislation” was more important than housing.

“Every election is important. We’re doing very well. They want a lot of communists to come in. I’m saying it a little bit differently, but the people that they’re pushing are communists,” the president responded.

The scrapped bill signing sparked backlash from Democratic senators, openly criticizing the move.

He doesn’t seem to be leaving any room for failure when it comes to the Democrat’s push for communistic leadership in the US.

Check out this clip of the President’s response noted in the previous Fox News excerpt.

Note how emphatic the President is on avoiding a communist takeover because of weak election integrity:

Some reporting has tended to indicate this is a paper tiger move — that the Housing Act would likely become law automatically without the President’s express veto in a matter of 10 days, because it passed with such bipartisan support.

But there might be a catch that is being missed in some of those reports.

Apparently, the Housing Act is missing a couple of Congressional signatures that might not allow it to advance to law as it otherwise would without President Trump’s signature.

Again, was that a pre-planned masterstroke orchestrated to position the President to forcefully apply pressure to get the SAVE Act passed?

Maybe.

That tidbit caught my attention in this report from the New York Post:

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) told reporters Wednesday morning that his conference has passed the SAVE Act three times and would be tucking it into a third reconciliation bill to pressure the Senate to take it up again.

The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act has yet to be officially signed by Johnson and Senate president pro tempore Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), meaning it could be held up for an even longer amount of time than the usual 10 days.

Trump is planning on meeting with Republican senators later Wednesday to discuss the election law, which requires would-be voters to provide proof of citizenship when registering, among other provisions.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) invited the president to Capitol Hill for a lunch at which the SAVE Act would be discussed — despite Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) having repeatedly said there’s no path to passing it.

Thune has claimed that even using the talking filibuster — which has been pushed by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) as a potential avenue — isn’t a realistic option either.

As the dust settles, it will be interesting to note whether the Housing Act will indeed fail to ‘automatically’ advance to law — even with it’s massive bipartisan passage.

If so, this move by President Trump may prove to be far more than some mere paper tiger.

This tiger MIGHT have teeth!

Of course, as the previous Fox News article highlighted, Democrats in Congress are publicly melting down over the President’s surprise move.

Elizabeth Warren was asked about it during an appearance on CNBC.

She simply tried to frame President Trump as uncaring:

The TDS flared up anew for Senator Mark Kelly.

He responded on social media as well, and not surprisingly…

Kelly’s response followed Warren’s talking points almost verbatim:

Here’s the full text of Mark Kelly’s post:

“Cancelled.”

Donald Trump just cancelled signing a bill that’s strongly supported by Republicans and Democrats to help Americans afford a home.

Rent, home ownership, affording a place to live, all of it is a big challenge for millions of Americans.

But again, Donald Trump doesn’t care.

You know the opposition is digging deep when all they have is accusations that President Trump is inconsiderate and uncaring.

Though, at least a few Democrats are digging a little deeper, still.

Would you believe… President Trump canceled the signing ceremony for the Housing Act because he secretly received a brand new drug intended to treat his undisclosed terminal illness?

That’s the reasoning put forward by Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu in this clip from CSPAN:

Or, could it simply be that President Trump trolled all the Democrats in Congress by waiting until the last minute before announcing he wouldn’t sign their bipartisan Housing Bill?

And could it be he trolled all the RINOs in Congress, as well, who either open or secretly have been fighting tooth and nail against the SAVE Act?

According to the Democratic leadership, President Trump is simply uncaring and likely on experimental drugs for a supposed terminal illness — that’s why he is refusing to sign the Housing Act.

Meanwhile, President Trump is actively applying pressure to the likes of Senate Majority Leader Thune, Cornyn, and Tillis to drop their resistance to the SAVE Act and admit what Mike Lee has been driving home relentlessly.

And that is — the SAVE Act is exactly what President Trump just said it is; a matter of ‘National Security’.

And it’s time to play ALL the cards… to finally make it happen.

It’s time to secure American elections from illegal foreign influence, and give the Republic a fighting chance.
