On Friday, five innocent Americans — including two children — were killed in a massive accident on a Virginia highway.

The crash occurred when a Chinese national bus driver who does not even speak English failed to slow down near a work site and rammed into several cars.

Absolutely horrific. Praying for their families 🙏💔

This is already very sad. But, the tragedy gets even worse when you learn the backstory.

You see, the Doncev family was from Massachusetts. They were on their way to a family member's wedding when their car was struck by the bus.

A relative of the Doncevs spoke to AP:

A family of four from Massachusetts who were killed when a bus crashed into multiple vehicles in Virginia were traveling to a wedding with a carload of homemade desserts for the celebration.

The family wedding will go forward Sunday in South Carolina, but it also will be a time to mourn the loss of Dmitri and Ecaterina Doncev and their two children, Emily and Mark, a relative said Saturday.

“A son, a father — the whole family — everyone that has been dear to us,” Carolina Bublik said.

The Doncevs were killed when a motorcoach caused a chain-reaction crash with vehicles that had slowed down for a work zone on Interstate 95 in Stafford County around 2:35 a.m. Friday, authorities said.

The bus struck a Suburban, which then hit an Acura carrying the Doncev family, police said. Priscilla Mafalda, 25, of Worcester, Massachusetts, was in the Chevrolet SUV and also died.

The other victim, Priscilla Mafalda, was also traveling from Massachusetts when she was killed.

She and her husband, Igor Ernesto, were on their way to Florida for a vacation when their car was struck by the bus.

Mafalda's husband survived the crash and is currently in the hospital.

Boston Globe reported:

When Priscilla R. Mafalda left for Florida last week, she sounded exhausted but happy.

“Friend, I’m very tired, but thank God I’m finally taking some vacation time. I’m going to Florida,” she told her work friend, Thaiz Ramos, on Thursday.

Ramos said Mafalda promised she would call when she arrived.

“I am still waiting for that call,” Ramos said Sunday afternoon, “because part of me still cannot believe she is gone.”

Mafalda, 25, of Worcester, was identified over the weekend as the fifth person killed in the devastating Interstate 95 crash in Virginia that also claimed the lives of four members of the Doncev family from Greenfield, Massachusetts. Authorities said Mafalda was traveling in a separate vehicle, a Chevrolet Suburban, when it was struck by a passenger bus that failed to slow for traffic near a work zone.

As we previously reported, the bus driver who killed these innocent people has been identified as Jing S. Dong from China.

He is facing manslaughter charges.

But, make no mistake: the driver isn't the only one who should be blamed here...

After all, who handed him the keys?

All of these individuals would still be alive if New York had not issued a CDL to a non-English speaking Chinese national.

An entire family and a beloved wife are now dead because of loose, failed Democrat policies.

We need accountability.
