New Jersey remains the epicenter of anti-law enforcement demonstrations as politicians and rioters disrupt civil society in the area around the Delaney Hall immigration facility in Newark.
As ordinary citizens attempt to go about their daily lives, one garbage truck driver held up by the ongoing protests recently expressed a level of frustration that resonated with many Americans tired of the left’s campaigns of chaos.
According to the New York Post:
“If I hit one of y’all, I go to jail,” the infuriated driver yelled at the demonstrators Wednesday night in the video from Freedom News.
ADVERTISEMENT“What’s wrong with y’all?”
The driver for Elizabeth-based Regional Industries pleaded with protesters — who were demonstrating against conditions in the New Jersey detention facility — to let him go on his way.
“Come on, man,” the driver shouted before getting back into his truck.
Many of the demonstrators were wearing masks and goggles to protect them for pepper spray used by ICE agents.
In the end, he appeared to prevail: He got into his truck and was able to drive away.
Many social media users criticized the demonstrations as ineffective, surmising that they only serve to inconvenience people and thus make them less likely to be swayed to the leftist point of view:
Nope. It’s all a lie. And people finally see through it.

This week, a riot mob took over outside a Newark, NJ ICE detention facility. A garbage truck driver went viral for screaming at the mob to let him through, as the mob debated the ethics of obstructing the 'fellow working class.' New video breaks down the chaos:… pic.twitter.com/tZSxvsoAdM

In its report on the situation, the Daily Caller cited Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who countered the left’s allegations about conditions inside the facility:
“The facts are all detainees are provided with 3 meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, and toiletries. Illegal aliens also have access to phones to communicate with their family members and lawyers. Certified dieticians evaluate meals. In fact, ICE has higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual U.S. citizens,” DHS said via a May 25 press release.
DHS also reported in the release that the detainees of Delaney Hall are given “comprehensive medical care” — contrary to the congressional Democrats’ claims.
“For many illegal aliens, this is the best healthcare they have received their entire lives,” the May 25 press release stated.
