UPDATE: 3 Dead In Mass Shooting At Idaho In-N-Out Restaurant, Manhunt Underway

As WLT Report previously reported, a mass shooting was reported at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Now authorities who responded to the scene have revealed three people have been killed in the shooting and five others were injured.

Authorities have since launched a manhunt for the gunman.

The New York Post has provided the latest details of the shooting:

Three people were killed and five others were injured after at least one gunman opened fire near an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, according to reports.

Twin Falls city spokesperson Josh Palmer confirmed the death toll to NBC News after dramatic cellphone footage captured what appeared to be the gunmen opening fire near the fast-food restaurant, sending shoppers running for their lives.

Palmer later told CBS News the shooting began inside the In-N-Out restaurant before spilling into the surrounding area.

Preliminary local reporting indicated police were searching for “at least one to two shooters” in the aftermath of the attack, though authorities had not publicly confirmed how many suspects were involved.

The search focused on a hotel under construction near the scene, as well as a hotel overlooking the Twin Falls Visitor Center, according to local reports. Rock Creek Fire Chief Aaron Zent earlier told KMVT that officers were searching the hotel overlooking the visitor center.

Another person was also seen firing a handgun but it appears the man was firing at the suspect to stop the rampage:

NBC News has since reported the suspect has died:

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said a suspected shooter has died. In was not clear whether the shooter was being counted among the three dead.

The identity of the suspect and a possible motive were part of the investigation, Hicks said.

“We believe the threat too the community is over,” he said at a news conference. “The suspected shooter in this incident is deceased.”

City, county and state authorities responded to reports of shots fired at the In-N-Out on Blue Lakes Boulevard North around 2:30 p.m., Hicks said.

The area is also the location of multiple major retailers and a movie theater complex. Hicks said hundreds of potential witnesses were expected to be interviewed.

“Today has been a very hard day here in twin falls,” he said.

A shelter-in-place order for the area was later lifted and roads were being reopened as the shooting investigation continued, Palmer said.
