BREAKING: President Trump Calls Off Attack on Iran, Announces “Perimeters of a Deal” Reached

On Saturday night, President Trump announced that he has canceled an attack on Iran and negotiations are taking place, once again.

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said that “the perimeters of a deal have been agreed to.”

The terms of this potential deal include two key points: reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending Iran’s nuclear threat.

The U.S.A. is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II. Despite this, we have just been asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern Countries, to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to. This would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat. Based on this request, I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL. The Country of Israel joins me in this commitment. Get to work, everybody, and get it DONE. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

President Trump’s announcement comes after it was reported a day earlier that the U.S. and Israel were planning a historic attack on Iran.

CBS News provided an overview of the developing situation:

  • President Trump announced Saturday night that he will cancel a pending attack on Iran after he indicated that a rough framework of a peace deal had been reached.
  • The United States and Israel had been planning what would be one of the harshest bombing campaigns to date against energy infrastructure targets in Iran, multiple sources previously told CBS News, with strikes possible as soon as this weekend.
  • Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke with President Trump on Saturday and cautioned him against conducting a fresh round of strikes on Iran, CBS News learned.
  • U.S. embassies in several Middle Eastern capitals, including Amman, Jordan; Jerusalem; and Baghdad, warned American citizens on Saturday to beware an “unforeseen escalation” in the regional conflict and urged them to be ready to leave.

The clocking is ticking…

Iran better make a deal fast!

During an interview with Lara Trump on Saturday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed the ongoing situation with Iran.

Rubio noted that Iran has never dealt with a president like Trump “who actually takes action!”

Watch what he had to say here:

MARCO RUBIO JUST NOW: “I don’t think the Iranian regime has EVER faced someone like President Trump, who actually TAKES ACTION.” 🔥

“They got used to for 20 or 30 years, not just the U.S., but the broader world, allowing them to get away with things like lying, breaking deals, and tricking people into agreements and so forth. In this particular case, they’re pretty straightforward.”

“Iran wants a nuclear weapon, and they were building a conventional missile shield they were going to hide behind!”

“In essence, they wanted to be in a position a year and a half from now to be able to say, we have so many drones and so many missiles, you can’t possibly defend against them. That’s the place they wanted to get to.”

“President Trump said, I’m not going to let you get to that place.”

“And he went after, wiped out their navy, wiped out their air force, wiped out their missile defenses, wiped out their launchers, wiped out their factories that make all of these things, and severely degraded their defense capabilities.”

“Now they still have missiles and they still have drones and they can still do damage, but they no longer have that shield, that conventional shield that they could hide behind.”

“And that’s changed the whole dynamic. It’s the only reason why they are now willing, and in some cases seem eager, to do a deal on denuclearization, to do a deal on the straits, because we’re now approaching them from a position of strength, not from a position of weakness, which is what they perceived from previous administrations and frankly from the world at large.”

We will continue to bring you further updates, as always.

Pray for peace!
