If the establishment leftists responsible for the current state of Los Angeles are intent on attacking mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, he’s wearing the scars with pride.
In a recent interview, the former reality TV star explained why he doesn’t want Hollywood’s endorsement.
Fox News had this report:
“I actually don’t want celebrities to come out and endorse me,” he said. “I don’t want anybody to endorse me except for the moms and the animal lovers in LA. That’s my entire vote.”
ADVERTISEMENT“I’m cool if no celebrity ever endorses me. I actually love when the celebrities attack mebecause then I’m like, oh, I am doing so well.”
Pratt’s comments come as his campaign hauls in millions of dollars, outpacing the campaigns of his competitors, incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and progressive Nithya Raman.
Dennis Quaid, Paris Hilton, Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, Katharine McPhee, David Foster and others are among the celebrities who have supported the mayoral hopeful. Pratt has also claimed Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx have privately endorsed him, but this alleged support has not been released in public. Actor Samuel L. Jackson and Star Wars director J.J. Abrams are among those who have thrown money behind Bass.
Still, Pratt told “Gutfeld!” he does not consider celebrity endorsements his top priority.
“This is my favorite thing the internet says. They’re like, he’s so big on the internet, but is he big in the streets? Yes, the people I’m surging with are the people having to step over the naked drug addicts and step into human poop to get their $20 matcha,” he said. “Those are the people that I’m surging the moms across Los Angeles who have to use their strollers around fentanyl, needles and naked drug-addict zombies with machetes that maybe will chop a limb off.”
It’s clear that Pratt’s plain-talking approach to LA’s problems is catching on with residents across the city and beyond:
So their is a little bit of common sense in Cal ? Cool 🤷

But one powerful Hollywood figure, TMZ’s Harvey Levin, appears to be at least tacitly promoting Pratt’s bid, as Politico reported:
Pratt’s guerrilla campaign materialized this spring amid an avalanche of anger over Bass’ handling of twin crises — Los Angeles’ entrenched homelessness problem and the 2025 wildfires. The latter issue catapulted Pratt, a social media-savvy Republican whose home burned down in the Palisades fire, into the political limelight even before he announced his candidacy in January.
TMZ’s relentless coverage of Pratt — it published three stories about him on Wednesday and two the previous day — is hardly an outlier. The California Post, the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid that launched in January, has also championed the former reality TV star, endorsing him with a cover story last week.
Pratt, 42, whose ascent has been at least partly fueled by over-the-top viral AI videos depicting him as a superhero taking on villainous opponents, has also drawn praise from some of the biggest voices on the American right. Trump said he’d like Pratt to “do well,” while Joe Rogan has offered a full-throated endorsement.
For Levin — who has voiced some skepticism about Pratt’s tactics — the moment represents a return to overt political influence after years focused primarily on celebrity coverage. Levin’s political ambitions long predate Trump: He explored launching a Washington-based “gossip venture” in 2007, though the idea was ultimately scuttled, Bloomberg has reported.
