This evening, a crazy shooter opened fire at Secret Service agents outside the White House.
Secret Service responded quickly, shooting back and killing the suspect.
Now, the gunman’s identity has been released as 21-year-old Nasire Best of Maryland.
He had a history of mental illness and multiple prior incidents with Secret Service.

BREAKING: The gunman who opened fire near the White House on Saturday afternoon has been identified as 21-year-old Nasire Best of Maryland. He was shot by Secret Service agents and died on the way to the hospital.
Best allegedly had multiple prior encounters with the Secret Service and had a history of mental health issues.
Best was detained by Secret Service on June 26, 2025, for flagging down agents and making threats, and again on July 10, 2025 for entering a restricted area, FOX News has learned.
And, here’s a photo of Nasire Best:

Apparently, Nathan Best also believed he was Jesus Christ.
In a previous incident with Secret Service, he told him that he was trying to get arrested because he was Jesus.
The New York Post reported further on this guy’s history:
A crazed gunman who believed he was Jesus Christ pulled out a revolver and opened fire outside the White House Saturday night, before he was quickly taken down by a barrage shots from the Secret Service, sources said.
Nasire Best, 21, fired at a checkpoint at about 6:10 p.m. after being seen pacing in a strange manner up and down 17th St. Northwest, sources told The Post. He only got off a few shots before he was shot and killed in a hail of bullets from federal officers.
At least one bystander was hit and seriously wounded in the fusillade, the sources said.
While a motive for the attack hasn’t been confirmed, sources said Best is a mentally troubled individual who was well-known to the Secret Service for repeatedly loitering around various entry posts and who has violated a previous court order to stay away from the White House…
Best, who was taken down by members of the Secret Service Uniformed Division, had previously been involuntarily committed on June 26, 2025, for obstructing vehicular traffic at 15th Street and E Street NW, before being arrested again on July 10, 2025, for Unlawful Entry.
In that incident, Best bypassed a restricted White House pedestrian control post by walking through an exit turnstile lane — and made crazed statements when D.C. police and Secret Service agents detained him.
“[Best] claimed he was Jesus Christ and that he wanted to get arrested,” court records of the incident said.
While law enforcement has not officially released a motive, Nathan Best’s social media gives us a big clue…
Reportedly, he had threatened to assassinate President Trump on social media.
Laura Loomer shared a sick TikTok post allegedly made by the shooter:

Thank God the shooter has been killed.
I’m sure his friends will say he Dindu Nuffin… they always do.
This incident is just the latest in a long string of attacks near President Trump, spurred on by violent left-wing rhetoric.
Thankfully, Secret Service did their job and neutralized this lunatic before he could do much harm.
Unfortunately, one bystander was also hit during the exchange. At this time, we do not know their condition.
Per NBC News:
The agency said the shooting remains under investigation.
A bystander was also shot, the Secret Service said, but it was unclear who fired the round that injured that person. Their condition was not immediately available.
The political violence needs to end.
Please keep the president’s safety in your prayers.
