South Carolina Senate ADVANCES New Congressional Map — 7 RINOS Vote “No”

Another red state has just moved one step closer towards making its maps fair ahead of midterms.

On Saturday, the South Carolina Senate advanced its new Congressional map, which would get rid of its only Democrat district.

We could see a 100% red South Carolina this November!

AWESOME!

It could reach the governor’s desk this week 🔥

GET IT DONE, SOUTH CAROLINA! MAGA is watching!

The bill passed 2nd reading, and must pass 3rd reading before heading to the House, then the governor.

Early voting starts this week, which will give RINOs ammo to dry to defeat the map.

DON’T LET THEM WIN! GO FOR GOLD.

Specifically, the proposed map would eliminate Democrat Rep. Jim Clyburn’s district, giving Republicans a boost.

Up until now, Democrats had forced the state to include this racially-gerrymandered district.

But, a recent Supreme Court decision that ruled racial gerrymandering unconstitutional opened the doors for states like South Carolina to make their maps fair again.

Here’s a closer look at the new map:

Previously, Senate RINOs had tanked a vote on the new South Carolina map.

However, Gov. Henry McMaster forced them to call a special session to vote on the map.

Still, seven RINOs in the Senate voted against it today.

In case you’re curious, their names are: Bennett, Campsen, Davis, Hembree, Massey, Rankin and Zell.

And, here are the names of all of the “no” votes:

The South Carolina map will still have to pass a third vote in the Senate and another vote in the House before it can be sent to the governor’s desk for final approval.

Most likely, the next vote will take place mid-week.

The unexpected move came late in the afternoon, as lawmakers opted to advance the bill ahead of schedule rather than continue debating through the night and holiday weekend. The decision sets up a final vote early next week, with Tuesday’s third reading expected to be the decisive stage.

Along with advancing the new map, the proposal would delay U.S. House primaries to Aug. 18. The South Carolina Election Commission estimates the delay would cost roughly $5 million to administer.

The Senate is now off until Tuesday, after initially planning to return Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the surprise fast-tracking of the bill, earlier in the day senators invoked cloture, limiting each lawmaker’s speaking time to one hour. Republican Sen. Larry Grooms of Berkeley County led the push to speed up the process.

“The quickest we can move forward … would be sometime Wednesday or Thursday,” Grooms said, referring to when the bill could reach the governor’s desk.
