As part of America’s 250th birthday celebration this year, President Trump has plans to erect a triumphal arch in Washington, D.C.
In true Trump fashion, the arch will be ginormous — 250 feet tall, to be precise!
To put that into perspective, the Lincoln Memorial is 99 feet tall.
Today, we got our first glimpse at the arch’s design.
It’s absolutely stunning, featuring lots of gold and the inscription “One Nation Under God.”
The Rapid Response 47 account shared these renderings:

Here’s a closer look at all of the different angles:

What a beautiful addition to our nation’s capital!
We don’t exactly when construction will begin on this new marvel, but the Commission of Fine Arts is set to review plans for the arch next week.
Independent via Yahoo News has more:
The mockups, produced by Harrison Design, portray a towering white monument along the banks of the Potomac River, evoking the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It features gilded ornamentation, four lion statues, a winged figure crowning the top and the inscription “One Nation Under God” emblazoned across its facade.
The arch is slated for construction in Memorial Circle, a prominent roundabout near Arlington National Cemetery and directly across the river from the Lincoln Memorial.
ADVERTISEMENTThe Interior Department submitted the renderings on Friday with the Commission on Fine Arts, a congressionally-established federal agency that offers guidance on architectural proposals, according to The Washington Post. The commission is scheduled to examine the proposal next week.
What do you think?
Are you happy with the arch’s design?
I, for one, can’t wait to see it in all its glory!
How does that sound?
