Democrat BLOCKS Resolution to Halt Senator Paychecks During Govt. Shutdowns — Then RUNS AWAY

Something very bizarre just happened in the Senate chamber.

Republican Sen. John Kennedy was in the middle of speaking about his common-sense resolution to stop Senators from getting paid during government shutdowns until they end — just like other federal workers.

He was seeking unanimous consent to get the measure passed quickly.

That’s when Democrat Sen. Brian Schatz ran into the room, yelled out an objection, then ran back out!

This led to a lot of confusion in the chamber.

Geez, what an immature move on the part of Sen. Schatz.

This is no way for a Senator to behave, and honestly, it’s surprising that his objection was sustained.

Take a look at some of these responses:

Because of Sen. Schultz de-railing the whole thing today, Sen. Kennedy’s resolution will now have to take the harder path requiring 60 votes in the Senate.

It’s infuriating.

But, you have to give it to Sen. Kennedy for how he handled the situation.
