Americans have watched from afar as Islam gained a foothold across Europe through unchecked immigration and complacency among Western leaders.
Now, with a new wave of far-left Muslims in the US seeking political office and otherwise influencing the culture, critics say this country is heading toward a similar fate.
Recent social media posts purportedly revealed the latest evidence of the trend, as Yahoo reported:
While the exact location and circumstances shown in the video have not been independently verified, Reuters reported that Muslim and Arab Americans in and around Dearborn celebrated Abdul El-Sayed’s primary victory.
ADVERTISEMENTAccording to Reuters, Abdul El-Sayed, 41, a doctor, won Michigan’s Democratic U.S. Senate primary, defeating Rep. Haley Stevens. However, he would still need to win the general election in November before he officially claims a seat in the Senate.
Because of that, there is some discrepancy with the X user’s caption claiming, “Democrats just elected a Muslim for Senate.” While El-Sayed has won the primaries, he hasn’t officially been elected to the U.S. Senate just yet.
If El-Sayed does win the general election, he would become the first Muslim U.S. senator in history, and that alone has stirred a ton of conversation online from both supporters and critics.
Here’s the post and a few of the reactions it sparked:
"I left his ass because he was controlling!"

No, you can’t have Dearborn, it belongs to the USA and is under the governance of the constitution. Assimilate or leave

Absolutely a horrible city to live in now. This is an American disgrace. How can we allow cities to be taken over to the point that they implement sharia law and force out American infidels from town haĺl meetings, etc. This town needs to be burn down and reborn.

Non-muslims who voted for Abdul are really naive and brainwashed!

Meanwhile, even some Democrats continue to denounce El-Sayed’s extremist ties and views.
Breitbart shared remarks from U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) during a recent Fox News appearance:
“El-Sayed, he just won. And I just want to issue a dare, continue to campaign with Hasan Piker right now. You’re in a general election now. I dare you, I dare you. Keep campaigning with someone like Hasan Piker. If I was a Republican, I would just dump $20 million for ads, he pals around with Piker, a guy that — on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, my best friend says America deserved 9/11. And you’re going to try to win a general election? So that’s — how can he reconcile the outlandish thing that he said and his record?”
