As part of the ongoing congressional investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell was interviewed today.
It was a total non-starter.
Maxwell plead the Fifth the whole time, refusing to answer any questions.
The House Oversight Committee has released the full video from Maxwell’s deposition, which you can view here:
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Watch the moment Ghislaine Maxwell pleads the Fifth during her deposition.
She was asked if she was a close friend of Epstein, if she helped him traffic girls, and if she instructed girls to provide sexual favors, among other questions.

As a reminder, Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving out a 20-year sentence for her crimes.
Maxwell’s lawyer says that she has been advised against answering any questions that could incriminate her since she still has legal appeals pending.
However, Maxwell says that she promises to spill everything if granted clemency by President Trump.
Interestingly, Maxwell has cleared both President Trump and Bill Clinton from wrongdoing.
Read her attorney’s full statement here:
Ghislaine Maxwell invoked her Constitutional right to silence this morning before @RepJamesComer and the House Oversight Committee. Here is the statement I gave to the Committee explaining why:

Ghislaine Maxwell invoked her Constitutional right to silence this morning before @RepJamesComer
and the House Oversight Committee. Here is the statement I gave to the Committee explaining why:Members of the Committee:
On my advice, Ghislaine Maxwell will respectfully invoke her Fifth Amendment right to silence and decline to answer questions today even though she would very much like to answer your questions.
ADVERTISEMENTShe must remain silent because Ms. Maxwell has a habeas petition currently pending that demonstrates that her conviction rests on a fundamentally unfair trial.
For example, jurors lied during voir dire to secure seats on the jury, and the government promised immunity and then broke that promise. Newly disclosed documents now demonstrate these facts conclusively.
If this Committee and the American public truly want to hear the unfiltered truth about what happened, there is a straightforward path. Ms. Maxwell is prepared to speak fully and honestly if granted clemency by President Trump.
Only she can provide the complete account. Some may not like what they hear, but the truth matters. For example, both President Trump and President Clinton are innocent of any wrongdoing. Ms. Maxwell alone can explain why, and the public is entitled to that explanation.
Thank you.
What a joke.
We all know President Trump is innocent. But Bill Clinton?
Give me a break.
I have a feeling that all we’d get from Maxwell is more lies…
But, President Trump has not yet responded either way to Maxwell’s plea for clemency.
The last time he addressed that possibility was back in November.
Per NBC News:
Trump has not publicly ruled out pardoning Maxwell. “I haven’t thought about it for months. Maybe I haven’t thought about it at all,” he told reporters on Air Force One in November. “I don’t talk about that. I don’t rule it in or out,” he said then.
Many members of Congress think the notion of pardoning Maxwell is just ridiculous.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer doesn’t think she deserves it:
Chair Comer says it was clear Ghislaine Maxwell continues to seek clemency from President Trump.
Comer made clear he doesn’t believe Maxwell deserves it, citing Epstein victims/survivors. Says she’s a “very bad person” who “committed a lot of crimes.” pic.twitter.com/IAN2NFdxcp

Some other Congress members, like Rep. Boebert, think she should be given a harsher sentence instead:
Rep. Lauren Boebert on Maxwell getting clemency:
“I think Ghislaine Maxwell should get more time, and she should definitely be in a harsher prison than what she’s in.
It’s absolutely disgusting.”pic.twitter.com/6gzFfZJTSD https://t.co/wm5uU19YCb

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna also spoke out against giving Maxwell clemency:
Luna: According to the files we saw, Ghislaine Maxwell was engaged in trafficking and rape. I don’t think she deserves special treatment. She’s a monster. pic.twitter.com/N7XamC0bhL

What do you think?
Would you support granting Ghislaine Maxwell clemency in exchange for her testimony?
How would you judge it?
