Talk about not knowing your fanbase.
Country star Zach Bryan made it known he was not a fan of the TPUSA All-American halftime show.
In an Instagram post, Bryan mocked the event’s headliner, Kid Rock, and called the alternative halftime show “cringe.”
He also added that the event was “embarrassing as hell.”
Whiskey Riff reported more on Zach Bryan’s shade thrown at Kid Rock and the TPUSA All-American halftime show:
Guess we know which halftime show he watched.
Zach Bryan took to Instagram after the Super Bowl, and the dueling halftime shows, to throw shade at Kid Rock and the Turning Point USA All-American Halftime Show – and doubled down after he began receiving messages from angry fans.
Thanks in part to an absolute snoozefest of a game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, the biggest storyline from Super Bowl LX will no doubt be the controversy surrounding Bad Bunny as the headliner for the halftime show. The Puerto Rican rapper has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump and his immigration policy, and many on both the right and left saw his selection as the headliner as a middle finger to the president from the NFL.
Anyway, the selection of Bad Bunny led conservative media organization Turning Point USA, which was founded by the late Charlie Kirk, to organize their own alternate halftime show, which aired at the same time and featured Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. And your opinion about either show probably depended on which side of the political aisle you fall on.
Well Zach Bryan took to Instagram to make it clear which side he was supporting, sharing a video of a friend jokingly watching the TPUSA halftime show on his phone while blocking out Bad Bunny with his hand. And Zach added his own commentary mocking Kid Rock.
“I don’t care what side you’re on, a bunch of adults throwing temper tantrums and their own halftime show is embarrassing as hell and the most cringe s— on the planet.”

Zach Bryan has a history of throwing shade at conservatives.
The country star even released a song that was critical of ICE, per Yahoo News:
Zach Bryan finally released his song “Bad News,” featuring scathing lyrics about law enforcement officers and ICE agents, days after a fatal shooting in Minneapolis.
According to The Blast, Bryan had already made headlines in October 2025 when he teased a snippet of the song on his Instagram, including the lyrics, “My friends are all degenerates, but they’re all I got, the generational story of dropping the plot. I heard the cops came, cocky motherf-ckers, ain’t they?” He continued on the track, “And ICE is gonna come bust down your door, try to build a house no one builds no more, but I got a telephone, kids are all scared and all alone.” In the extended version of the song, Bryan laments the current state of America before calling for unity.
In the full three-minute version of the song, Bryan adds, “My friends are all degenerates, they’re all I got / Every day on the news, someone else is shot / I got some bad news / The fading of the red, white and blue.” Continuing, the singer reminds listeners that “this land’s your land” and “this land [is] mine too.”
Bryan initially faced backlash over the lyrics of his new track. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem slammed the singer during an earlier appearance, saying, “To every single individual that has ever stood up and fought for our freedoms, he just compromised it all by putting out a product such as that, that attacks individuals who are just trying to make our streets safe.”
She continued, “So, Zach, I didn’t listen to your music. I’m happy about that today. Today, that makes me very happy, that I never once gave you a single penny to enrich your lifestyle if you truly believe what that song stands for,” before promoting singers like Jason Aldean and John Rich.

Just listened to this song by country singer Zach Bryan called "Bad News" that criticizes ICE, and I love it.
Not only is it a great tune that slaps, but it makes racists scream and cry, so THAT'S a BONUS.pic.twitter.com/MKKSbShZUl
