Could President Trump run again in 2028?
One of his mega-donors, Israeli-American billionaire Miriam Adelson, seems to think so!
During Tuesday night’s Hanukkah ceremony at the White House, President Trump called Adelson, who donated a whopping $250 million to his campaign, up on the stage.
Right there, in front of everyone, she said that she’s spoken with Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz about the legality of a third term and thinks he should go for it!
In fact, she’s offering President Trump another $250 million to run again.

Joking or not, the room sure lit up at the sound of a third term!
But, lawyer Alan Dershowitz has been doing legal research into whether or not four more years of Trump would be possible.
In fact, he’s put together a book on scenarios where a president may be able to serve a third term.
A couple of those scenarios include if Congress were to decide the results of the presidential election or if President Trump was elected Speaker of the House and the elected-president resigned.
President Trump got a draft of that book this week.
However, speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Dershowitz says he doesn’t believe President Trump will actually run again:
Dershowitz said Trump told him that he planned to read the book and asked him about his conclusions on serving for a third term. The Constitution bars anyone from being elected to the White House more than twice.“I said ‘it’s not clear if a president can become a third term president and it’s not clear if it’s permissible,’” said Dershowitz, who previously served as a defense lawyer for the president during his first term while Trump when impeached by Congress. The president, according to Dershowitz, smiled and went onto other issues after the two discussed the focus of the book.“He found it interesting as an intellectual issue,” Dershowitz said. “Do I think he’s going to run for a third term? No, I don’t think he will run for a third term.”Trump told reporters in October that the Constitution is “pretty clear” that he’s “not allowed to run.”When asked by the Journal about the meeting and Trump’s current position on becoming president again, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said the country would be lucky if he served a longer period of time.White House chief of staff Susie Wiles said Trump “knows he can’t run again” in a Vanity Fair interview published this week.Dershowitz, a constitutional scholar, described some of the scenarios the book presents in which Trump could become president again. He writes about an idea where Trump could run for a third term and the final results end up being potentially decided by Congress. If Trump were to be declared the winner of another election, Dershowitz proposes that the members of the electoral college could abstain their vote when they meet to cast their ballots. Once they abstain, Dershowitz argues, the election would be decided by Congress. “They then select, and not elect, the president,” Dershowitz said in describing his idea. The National Constitution Center says that only twice in U.S. history have electors abstained from voting for their pledged presidential candidate who was still alive. None of those defections ever led to a presidential election being decided by Congress.James Sample, a professor at Hofstra University’s law school, called Dershowitz’s idea “absurd” but noted he could only envision one way Trump and his team trying to make him president again.“The one scenario about which I think there is quasi-credible concern is a scenario in which two allies—perhaps JD Vance and Donald Trump Jr. or whomever, run with a plan not to serve; resign upon taking office; and because the speaker of the House is not required to be a Member of Congress, Trump is elected Speaker, with the aim of succession,” Sample said in an email to the Journal.
Very interesting stuff.
What do you think?
Would you support a third Trump term?
