Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani was seriously injured in a car crash on Saturday night in New Hampshire.
He was immediately hospitalized with multiple injuries, including a fractured thoracic vertebrae, which is a bone in the upper back.

On Saturday night, Rudy Giuliani pulled over to help a woman who was a victim of domestic violence.
After giving her assistance and staying with her until police arrived, he got back on the highway.
He was then struck from behind by another car that was traveling at a high speed.

On the evening of August 30, 2025, in New Hampshire, Mayor Giuliani was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Prior to the incident, he was flagged down by a woman who was the victim of a domestic violence incident. Mayor Giuliani immediately rendered assistance and contacted 911. He remained on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety.
Following this, while traveling on the highway, Mayor Giuliani’s vehicle was struck from behind at high speed. He was transported to a nearby trauma center, where he was diagnosed with fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg.
His business partner and medical provider were promptly contacted and arrived at the hospital to oversee his care.
At this time, no further updates are available.
This is the only statement authorized by Mayor Giuliani.

Despite suffering serious injuries, Mayor Giuliani reportedly remains in good spirits.
He is still recovering in the hospital.
Fox News reported:
He is in “good spirits and recovering tremendously,” spokesman and head of security Michael Ragusa told Fox News Digital.
“He’ll be released in a few days and he’s doing great. Conscious, alert, strong. He’ll be back to business as usual this week,” Ragusa added.
Back injuries are never easy to recover from, but Mayor Giuliani is expected to be released from the hospital in two or three days.
Per The New York Post:
He said “America’s mayor’’ is expected to remain in the Manchester-area hospital for another two or three days and then wear a brace for the broken vertebrae.
Giuliani’s son Andrew told The Post, “Thank Goodness he’s doing OK.
“Fractured vertebrae. More to come … Please keep him in your prayers,” Andrew said.

“He’s getting further tests and stabilization of his injuries,” she told The Post.
