President Trump, while speaking in the Oval Office on Tuesday morning, shared that Obama is guilty of treason for his alleged role in manufacturing the 2016 Russian collusion hoax.

Trump further declared that Obama was the leader of the entire operation.

The New York Post reported more on Trump’s remarks on Obama:

President Trump called on the Justice Department Tuesday to prosecute former President Barack Obama for allegedly ordering an assessment that Russia meddled to help him with the 2016 election.

“Whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time to go after people,” Trump said in the Oval Office after referencing newly aired allegations of Obama’s role in allegations of Russian interference after Trump won his first term of office.

“It’s criminal at the highest level,” the president added, referring to documents released last week by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

“It would be President Obama, he started it. And [Joe] Biden was there with him, and [James] Comey was there, and [James] Capper — the whole group was there, and [John] Brennan.”

Trump added: “The leader of the gang was President Obama… He’s guilty.

“This was treason, this was every word you could think of. They tried to steal the election. they tried to obfuscate the election.”

Newsweek had more details to report on Trump’s latest remarks:

Trump said Tuesday he chose not to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton after his 2016 election win but now believes it’s time to go after his political adversaries.

During remarks in the Oval Office, he named former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, Obama, and others, accusing them of unlawfully conspiring against him.

“After what they did to me—right or wrong—it’s time to go after people,” Trump said.

He went on to repeat remarks about the Russia investigation and the outcome of the 2020 election, asserting, “The leader of the gang was President Obama. He’s guilty. … This was treason.”

The president’s remarks come after Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, released a report on Friday alleging that Obama and his national security Cabinet members manufactured intelligence regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election to “lay the groundwork for what was essentially a yearslong coup against President Trump.” She said she would refer the officials to the Justice Department for prosecution.
