Well, folks, it looks like it’s actually happening…
The House Oversight Committee just approved a motion to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
This comes after Maxwell said she was willing and ready to expose everything she knows about Epstein and his clients (who totally didn’t exist, per the DOJ) to Congress.

The motion to subpoena was introduced by Rep. Tim Burchett.
The New York Post reported:
The powerful GOP-led House Oversight Committee will “seek to subpoena” convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell for testimony about the Jeffrey Epstein case “as expeditiously as possible,” a spokesperson confirmed Tuesday.
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) had requested Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) summon the imprisoned British socialite for testimony. Comer instead asked Burchett to introduce a formal motion, which the panel approved by voice vote.
“Since Ms. Maxwell is in federal prison, the Committee will work with the Department of Justice and Bureau of Prisons to identify a date when Committee can depose her,” a committee rep said.
Following the motion’s approval, Rep. Burchett shared his thoughts in a video on X:
It’s official we will subpoena Ghislaine Maxwell! Thank you @RepJamesComer @JamesComer pic.twitter.com/iG1A1KaPOI

Amen to that!
Thank you, Rep. Burchett!
President Trump also reacted to the news, seeming surprised but giving his approval:
Q: Do you support the DOJ seeking an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell?
TRUMP: I don't know anything about it. They're gonna what?
Q: The deputy AG has reached out to Ghislaine Maxwell
TRUMP: It sounds appropriate to do, yeah. I don't really follow that too much. The witch hunt… pic.twitter.com/sONkREyyVt

Ghislaine, who has been rotting in prison for around three years now, serving time for a crime that the DOJ concluded there is “no evidence” of and refuses to charge anyone else for, must have a lot to say.
Now, of course, she could just lie through her teeth the whole time. There’s no guarantee we’ll get the straight truth from her.
But, it is guaranteed that she knows a whole lot and that her testimony could prove very valuable…
Let the American people hear everything and decide for ourselves.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see how this goes.
As for when exactly it will happen, we don’t have a clear date yet.
However, a spokesperson says the House committee wants to get Maxwell’s testimony ASAP.
From NBC News:
The House Oversight Committee plans to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell “as expeditiously as possible,” a committee spokesperson said.
No word yet on whether that means before or after Congress’s upcoming August recess…
This news also comes just after it was announced that Deputy AG Todd Blanche will be meeting with Maxwell.
The Department of Justice has reached out to Ghislaine Maxwell, former associate and girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein, about a potential meeting “in the coming days,” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Tuesday.

Ghislaine’s lawyer confirmed:
🚨BREAKING: Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer confirms talks with the Trump DOJ about her testifying:
Lawyer David Oscar Markus to CNN: “I can confirm that we are in discussions with the government and that Ghislaine will always testify truthfully. We are grateful to President Trump… pic.twitter.com/W12BtlumGi

Maybe the DOJ is trying to strike up a deal with her?
What do you think?
