BREAKING: Rental Box Truck Runs Over Multiple People & Crashes Into Building in Boston


Several people were injured this afternoon when a rental box truck drove onto the sidewalk and crashed into a building in Boston’s Chinatown.

The yellow Penske logo truck hit multiple poles before slamming into a building. It stopped after it flipped onto its side and got stuck, getting wedged between a pole and the building.

Multiple pedestrians were struck by the truck. Four people have been hospitalized, and two others were treated at the scene.

Two of these victims are in critical condition.

Police are still active on the scene, and the crash is under investigation.

We don’t know, at this time, whether it was intentional or not.

BOX TRUCK CRASHES INTO BUILDING IN BOSTON’S CHINATOWN — 6 HURT

Around 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, a yellow rental box truck crashed near Kneeland Street and Harrison Avenue, close to Downtown Boston.

The truck hit multiple poles, slammed into a building, and knocked down several people before flipping onto its side.

4 people were rushed to the hospital. 2 others were hurt but said they didn’t want to go.

The driver was trapped inside the cab and had to be cut out by firefighters using special tools.

Police shut down nearby streets, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The driver of the truck had to be cut out of the vehicle using special extrication tools.

Multiple pedestrians have been injured after a box truck struck them on Tuesday afternoon, according to Boston police.

The truck, a yellow-colored Penske rental truck, struck multiple poles and flipped on its side before becoming wedged between a pole and a building, authorities said.

At least two people are in critical condition and firefighters used extrication tools to remove the trapped driver from the cab of the truck, a police spokesperson said.

Homicide and the fatal accident team are responding.

Police said it is a very active scene, and they do not have a total number of victims yet.

Images from the scene showed the yellow truck on its side with a pole lodged in between the cab and the box of the truck. The truck’s windscreen was smashed and debris, including shattered glass, was strewn across the street.

Police cordoned off the area with yellow tape.

Multiple people were injured after a box truck jumped a curb, hit pedestrians on a sidewalk, and rolled over in front of a row of Boston businesses on Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

Emergency crews responding to a report of a vehicle crash involving pedestrians on Kneeland Street in the city’s Chinatown section just before 1 p.m. found a Penske rental truck flipped over on the sidewalk and lodged against Great Wall Kitchen Supply and Tora Ramen restaurant, according to the Boston Fire Department.

Boston EMS said six people were hurt, and four were taken to area hospitals. Two people were treated at the scene but refused transport.

Three of the victims were taken to Tufts Medical Center, where hospital officials said one person was in critical condition, one in fair condition, and one in good condition. The fourth victim is also said to have suffered critical injuries.
