A day after President Trump survived a second assassination attempt, Joe Biden has called for the Secret Service to receive more help.
While speaking to reporters, Biden shared, “Thank God the President’s OK. One thing I want to make clear, the Secret Service needs more help. I think Congress should respond to their needs.”
He continued, “They need to decide whether they need more personnel or not.”

President Joe Biden says the U.S. Secret Service “needs more help” after another apparent assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump over the weekend.
Trump, 78, was golfing at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach on Sunday, Sept. 15, when the Secret Service reportedly stopped a man who was pointing a firearm toward the course.
Speaking with reporters outside the White House on Monday, Sept. 16, Biden, 81, said he was thankful Trump was unharmed before suggesting the Secret Service may need some changes.
“One thing I want to make clear, the Secret Service needs more help,” Biden explained in the clip, shared by C-SPAN’s Howard Mortman. “And I think that Congress should respond to their needs if they in fact need more service people.”

“Thank God the president is OK,” Biden told reporters as he left the White House Monday. “One thing I want to make clear: the Service needs more help. I think Congress should respond to their needs.”
Pressed to say what type of assistance he was referring to, Biden suggested Secret Service needs more personnel.
“I think they may need – they’re deciding – whether they need more personnel or not,” he said.
