You can clearly see as the man identified as Ryan Routh is taken and put into handcuffs, he does not seem to be resisting — just as Sheriff Snyder of Martin County Sheriff’s Department has previously stated when he described the take down.
Here’s a quick look at the report coming out from Fox News on the bodycam footage:
The sheriff’s office released the footage, which shows deputies ordering the driver to slowly walk backwards with his hands on his head toward deputies after surrendering.
Routh fled the golf course after authorities say Secret Service agents fired at him when spotting the muzzle of his rifle through a chain-link fence one hole ahead, about 300 yards, of where Trump was playing a round.
Routh was arrested a short time later after a witness shared a photo of the suspect’s vehicle with authorities.
Snyder told reporters that Routh was caught near Palm City exit 714 on I-95, and it took authorities about two miles to get all the resources in play to surround the vehicle and force it to a stop.
“He was smart, he was just driving with the flow of traffic,” the sheriff said. “I think that he may have thought that he got away with it.”
The footage was released a short time ago, and has already gone viral across social media platforms:

Serious questions are being raised, just like after the Butler rally assassination attempt, about whether this incident could part of a larger conspiracy to kill President Trump. Martin County Sheriff Snyder, who’s team apprehended the suspect in this bodycam footage, has openly stated — as has a former FBI Assistant Director — that there is the possibility that the suspect is part of a larger conspiracy, and may have had inside information on President Trump’s location and schedule.
As we have reported today, the round of golf was not on a public schedule. It was literally a last-minute decision. So the question is:
- Did the alleged assassin get lucky and stumble on President Trump?
- Had the alleged assassin been laying in wait for an extended period of time, hoping for a chance?
- Was he somehow surveilling President Trump?
- Or – was he (intentionally, or unintentionally) provided inside information?

Routh was reportedly on the golf course for 12 hours leading up to the incident.
Martin County Sheriff Will Snyder suggested on Monday that Routh could be part of a conspiracy.
