ESPN Host With History Of Criticizing President Trump FIRED During Live Broadcast

Good riddance!

ESPN has fired sports analyst Ryan Clark from their network.

Clark has previously received backlash for criticizing President Trump and race-baiting during his time at ESPN.

If you’re unfamiliar with Clark’s on camera antics then here’s an example:

Clark has been a long-time advocate for DEI & critic of Trump.

Clark was also very hostile towards NFL analysts who were non-players:

NBC Sports provided further details on Clark getting canned:

The abrupt news that ESPN has cut ties with NFL analyst Ryan Clark was a surprise. The details are surreal.

Via Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Clark was informed of the move during Monday’s NFL Live. A show on which he was appearing.

Per the report, ESPN told Clark during the show because ESPN was receiving media inquiries and the company feared the news would leak before ESPN could tell him. Some would say that’s still better than telling someone they were being let go, you know, while they were on the air.

ESPN had planned, per Marchand, to tell Clark on Tuesday morning.

Marchand also explains that ESPN soured on Clark after last year’s televised interaction with Peter Schrager, during which Clark dismissed Schrager’s opinion as the viewpoint of a non-player. Clark later apologized for his “on and off the air” interactions with Schrager.

Clark reportedly was making more than $2 million per year. ESPN will owe him the balance of his contract, but there’s some sort of write-off stuff (which I don’t understand) that becomes an accounting benefit of some kind by making the move now and owing him the rest of the money.

The New York Post provided Clark’s response to being fired:

Ryan Clark addressed “the madness” of his ESPN firing in a Instagram carousel post Tuesday.

The NFL analyst — who reportedly learned he was laid off by the Worldwide Leader during an appearance on Monday’s “NFL Live” — shared a “proof of life” message in his first statement since his layoff.

“Proof of Life…Before the madness of yesterday, I woke up, got in my Tundra, drove to Planet Fitness, and got to work,” Clark wrote, including videos of him working out at the gym.

“The rest of the day was eventful, but the journey continues. My peace is with God, and my humility comes from within. I’ll continue to build myself so the world can never strip me of what’s real. Get moving today y’all! 🙏🏾.”

Clark supported others affected by ESPN’s latest layoffs in a post on X, with lead MLB play-by-play announcer Karl Ravech reportedly expected to be included in Tuesday’s layoffs.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero is also expected to be let go after ESPN acquired the company, according to The Athletic.
