Here’s Why Melania Trump Was Missing From Family Christmas Card

Melania Trump was noticeably missing from the Trump family’s Christmas photo, which raised a major question: where is Melania?

Well, now that question has been answered by Page Six.

According to Page Six, Melania has been taking care of her ailing mother.

A source close to the Trump family told Page Six that Melania’s mother, “Amalija Knavs, has been very sick in the hospital, and Melania was by her side instead of at the party where the image was snapped.”

Here’s what Page Six reported:

Melania Trump was absent from her family’s festive Christmas card because she’s been taking care of her ailing mother, Page Six has learned.

A source close to the Trumps tells us that the former first lady’s mom, Amalija Knavs, has been very sick in the hospital and Melania was by her side instead of at the party where the image was snapped.

“Melania has always been very devoted to her entire family,” a source close to Melania Trump elaborated to Fox News Digital.

“It should be no surprise that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mother.”

A rep for the Trump family didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, shared the image in question, which was taken at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla., to her Instagram Story Tuesday.

Per Fox News:

Former first lady Melania Trump celebrated Christmas with her ailing mother, Fox News Digital has learned.

A source close to the former first lady told Fox News Digital that she did not attend the Trump family Christmas celebration at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, earlier this week so that she could spend time with her ailing mother.

“Melania has always been very devoted to her entire family,” a source close to Melania Trump told Fox News Digital. “It should be no surprise that she spent this Christmas with her ailing mother.”

The former first lady, in an interview with Fox News Digital earlier this year, said she fully supports her husband’s presidential campaign and looks forward to “restoring hope for the future and leading America with love and strength” during a possible second term in the White House. She told Fox News Digital it would be a “privilege” to serve as first lady again.
