A Manhattan psychotherapist who specialized in “LGBTQ mental health” has just been arrested for an extremely disturbing reason.
47-year-old Remington Yhap is accused of raping a 17-year-old ‘transgender’ patient during a therapy session.

Along with “LGBTQ+ mental health,” Yhap bragged about specializing in sex and “kinks.”

Now, Yhap has been charged with three counts of rape, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Local news outlet PIX 11 shared more specific details on the sickening crime he is being accused of:
A therapist is accused of raping a 17-year-old transgender boy during a session in his Manhattan office in June, sources and prosecutors said Tuesday.
ADVERTISEMENTRemington Yhap, 47, allegedly attacked the teen in his office on the Avenue of Americas in Midtown at around 2 p.m. on June 15, according to the criminal complaint.
The therapist is accused of forcing himself on the teen and forcing the victim to perform a sex act on him, according to court records.
Yhap, a psychotherapist who specializes in LGBTQ+ mental health and sex issues, was treating the teen from September 2025 to July 2026, according to prosecutors and his practice, Liberation Psychotherapy.
Yhap was arrested on July 29 and charged with rape, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.
Even worse, police believe that this so-called “transgender boy” may not have been the only victim assaulted under Remington Yhap’s care.
Per the New York Post:
The accused sex fiend allegedly showed the victim photos of nude people and asked him several times if he was masturbating when he was 16, a complaint alleged.
A police source said there’s a “large possibility” that Yhap preyed on other patients.
