Illegal aliens driving trucks on American roadways is a huge problem.
In many cases, these foreign truck drivers can’t even speak enough English to read road signs! It poses a huge danger to U.S. citizens — one that has caused the loss of far too many innocent American lives.
So, the Trump administration is taking concrete action to put an end to this, for good.
Already, the Department of Transportation has enacted new, stricter rules and regulations for commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs). For instance, requiring English proficiency.
During President Trump’s second term, an estimated 28,000 illegal immigrants have lost their CDLs!
But, this raises another issue: who will replace these thousands of illegal alien truck drivers?
Well, President Trump has come up with a genius solution.
He just announced plans to replace illegal immigrant truck drivers with proud American veterans.
The Washington Examiner reported:
President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that veterans who have driven “heavy trucks” for the military will be automatically eligible for a commercial driver’s license, stating that they will replace illegal truck drivers being taken off the roads.
The president revealed the development at the Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit, where he mourned the death of a state trooper from Pennsylvania who was recently killed in a collision with a truck driver who was in the United States illegally. The announcement that the White House will push veterans to assume such jobs comes as Washington has engaged in a nationwide push to deport truck drivers whose legal status has expired, often citing concerns that they cannot read signs properly or have not adapted to U.S. culture.
“We’re going to take our veterans, we’re going to make them, we’re going to teach them a lot about driving trucks,” Trump said. “And in many cases, they know. We’re going to say any American who’s driven a heavy truck for our military will automatically be eligible for a commercial driver’s license. So we’re going to get them taken care of.”

Now that’s how you put Americans first!
In one brilliant move, the Trump administration is set to eliminate dangerous, illegal alien truck drivers from our roads while giving veterans more job opportunities.
President Trump made this announcement while speaking at an event in Pennsylvania, where a state trooper was sadly killed by an illegal immigrant truck driver earlier this month.
The New York Times provided more context for his remarks:
An April 2025 executive order directed the Transportation Department to impose an English language requirement for commercial drivers, and to review the licenses of foreign citizens who are authorized to work in the United States.
Mr. Trump has blamed semi-truck crashes on immigrant drivers, though no comprehensive studies have been conducted on how many collisions involve them. On Wednesday, he repeated claims that many such drivers cannot read road signs and abuse drugs. To drive commercial trucks, foreign nationals must have work authorization and follow the same process as any other driver, including attending driving schools and passing tests.
The president and his administration have pointed to high-profile crashes to justify the crackdown.
On Wednesday, Mr. Trump cited a crash this month in Pennsylvania that resulted in the death of a state trooper. The Homeland Security Department said that the driver of a semi-truck who crashed into the trooper was an immigrant from Haiti without authorization to live in the United States, but who had a commercial driver’s license issued in Massachusetts. A lawyer for the driver told a local news outlet that his client had been in the process of gaining asylum.
ADVERTISEMENTAccording to data from the Transportation Department’s motor safety agency, in the 12 months through last September, there were 3,632 commercial truck crashes, down 15 percent from 4,292 in the same period a year earlier. The agency said in February that the administration was tightening restrictions after it had identified at least 17 fatal crashes it said involved commercial drivers who were not residents of the issuing state.
Mr. Trump singled out drivers who are unauthorized immigrants in his remarks Wednesday, though it was unclear how the administration would try to further target them.
What do you think?
Do you support replacing illegal alien truck drivers with U.S. veterans?
