DISTURBING: Hospital Worker Arrested in Hungary for Cooking & Eating Human Remains

This is something straight out of Silence of the Lambs…

A 30-year-old hospital worker has just been busted in Budapest, Hungary for stealing dead bodies from his workplace and graveyards — then, taking them home to cook and eat them!

This freak, who authorities have dubbed the “Hungarian Hannibal,” confessed to the disturbing crimes.

Police discovered various body parts, including severed limbs, skulls, a heart, and even a skinned face inside his apartment.

The New York Post reported further:

The 30-year-old man from Budapest was arrested by Hungary’s National Bureau of Investigation on suspicion of the illegal use of human remains last Wednesday, after investigators allegedly uncovered a trove of body parts inside his apartment, police said in a statement.

Inside the house or horrors was a prepared human face, facial skin, a lower leg, a brain, a hand, skulls, a heart in a jar, and bones stuffed in a suitcase, cops alleged in the statement written in Hungarian.

Forensic experts are still working to determine whether the heart belongs to a human or an animal.

The sicko, whose name has not been released, told officers during questioning that he was “particularly attracted to human body parts,” and had prepared and eaten them as food, police wrote.

The alleged cannibal works as a patient transporter at a Budapest Hospital and “is passionate about anatomy and pathology, and likes to dissect animals,” the department’s statement added.

Police are still working to trace exactly where this sick individual got all the body parts from — as well as who they belonged to.

Per Independent:

They said it is suspected that he obtained the body parts through his work at a hospital and by digging up bodies “in abandoned cemeteries in Slovakia and Hungary”.

Police seized the man’s computer, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, SIM and data cards.

All of the recovered body parts will be examined by forensic experts, police said, adding that the range of alleged crimes could expand after the origin of all the body parts is determined.

This is a highly unsettling and serious case — don’t get me wrong.

But, a cannibal from Hungary? The jokes practically write themselves…
