Hunter Biden Is The Latest To Take Shots At Establishment Democrats Amid Socialist Takeover

After recent primary elections, the Democrats’ field of congressional candidates is taking shape. And an increasingly common theme among them is an open embrace of socialist policies.

That abrupt lurch to the left after generations of gradual shifts has triggered alarms from some in the party and disdain from others.

Even Hunter Biden, whose many scandals should by most accounts render him a pariah in the party, nevertheless took a recent opportunity to pile on criticism of the Democrat establishment.

As TheBlaze reported:

The stunning victories of far-left extremists against centrist establishment candidates in the New York City Democratic primary elections are leading many to embrace fringe socialism.

Among those voices is Hunter Biden, the former president’s disgraced son who sired a child with a reported Washington, D.C., stripper.

‘The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It’s a question mark.’

Biden said in a post on social media that Democrats need to abandon seeking the vote of Americans with more moderate views.

“I’m not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I’d take away from what happened in NY yesterday,” he wrote in a post on the X social media platform.

“The middle is not a strategy. It’s an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something,” he said after a few other bullet points.

He said Democrats who made anti-Israel and pro-rent control statements won because they were “authentic.” He also derided endorsements from establishment partisans.

“Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings,” he added. “The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It’s a question mark.”

He also praised far-left democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani of New York City. Mamdani backed the extremist candidates who swept their primary elections.

“The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led,” Biden concluded.

In a response to a commenter, he affirmed that the Democratic Party needs to listen to black women more.

Many on the left are making the same observations about the victory of extremists in New York City while others point out that these policies are not likely to be popular in the rest of the country, even among Democrats.

Here’s his full post:

I’m not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I’d take away from what happened in NY yesterday.

  1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.
  2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It’s a question mark.
  3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.
  4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.
  5. The middle is not a strategy. It’s an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.
  6. Don’t fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.
  7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn’t ask permission. He took the field.

The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.

Unsurprisingly, the controversial figure’s post inspired all sorts of mockery. Even less surprising is Biden feverishly scanning all of his critics’ replies so he could hit them with a zinger of his own:

Here’s what The Hill added:

His reflections follow a strong night for Mamdani-backed candidates, whose victories in three New York districts against opponents backed by Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and House Democratic leaders highlighted Mamdani’s growing influence within the party.

All three of Mamdani’s picks in a series of House primary races won their bids.

Former mayoral candidate Brad Lander unseated Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) in the 10th Congressional District while political newcomer Darializa Avila Chevalier ousted five-term Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.) in the 13th District.

Democratic socialist Claire Valdez also scored a win in the race to succeed retiring Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-N.Y.) in the 7th District.

CNN commentator Van Jones had a similarly pessimistic take on the establishment wing of the Democratic Party:

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y) dismissed concerns that the primary wins could hurt Democrats in the midterms, noting that he and Mamdani have a “very good” relationship.
