President Trump just announced that additional leftists have been arrested for vandalizing the newly-renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in D.C.
In an update on Truth Social, he said that someone carved a 250-foot gash into the monument and poured corrosive chemicals into the water.
Because of this, the pool will have to be mostly drained for repairs, but it will be restored quickly ahead of the upcoming America 250 celebrations in our nation’s capital.

Many additional people have been arrested having to do with the disgraceful Vandalism of our beautiful Reflecting Pool. It hasn’t looked or worked like this since 1922, when it was originally built, but even then, it leaked badly, and didn’t work. Ours worked perfectly, including the mirror like finish, perfectly reflecting the two Great Monuments, which it never had before! What these terrible Vandals have done is a true affront to both Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, and should be dealt with accordingly. We met with contractors today, will probably be forced to release and drain much of the water in order to do the necessary repairs, but will have them done as quickly as possible. What they have damaged does not even include the earlier killing of a large amount of grass which was, by far, the least of it. They took some form of knife or blade, and put a 250 foot long gash into the beautiful facade of what took so much work, competence, and money to build and complete. They also poured corrosive and destructive chemicals into the Pool. The Reflecting Pool was never so beautiful as it was just one week ago, even going back to 1922 when it opened. We are very proud of what we have done with this magnificent structure, and we will get it repaired, quickly, to an equal level of Beauty. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President Trump’s latest announcement comes after multiple arrests were made earlier on Saturday in connection to vandalism of the Reflecting Pool.
Leftists hate President Trump so much that they are literally trying to rip it up to make him look bad!
Among those arrested was a 67-year-old former U.S. Olympic athlete, who denies all wrongdoing.
CBS News reported further on these incidents of vandalism:
The United States Park Police have arrested multiple people for allegedly vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, President Trump said Saturday, days after algae turned the water a fluorescent green hue and rips appeared in an “American Flag Blue” surface handpicked by the president.
“The United States Park Police have arrested multiple individuals for vandalizing our Nations magnificent Reflecting Poll (sic),” Mr. Trump said in a Truth Social post Saturday. “Who would do such a thing? These are very serious crimes having to do with the destruction of National Monuments. Years in jail! Work will begin immediately on its repair.”
The National Park Service did not immediately respond to CBS News’ request for comment.
David Hearn, a 67-year-old Bethesda, Maryland, man who stopped by the pool while on a 64-mile bike ride, said authorities arrested him and held him for five hours on Friday after he reached down into the pool.
Hearn, a former Olympic canoe racer who owned a company that provided materials to build watercraft, said it was scientific interest that drew him to the pool. He told The Associated Press he wanted to examine the peeling new coating on the bottom of the pool that Mr. Trump had ordered installed.
ADVERTISEMENTHe said he briefly touched a chunk that was still attached to the side of the pool, then let go shortly after a park worker told him to. But, Hearn said, he was then detained by National Guard troops and Park Police.
“I’m a curious citizen,” Hearn said in a telephone interview. “I reached down to see what it felt like. It was very rubbery.”
The Washington Post first reported on Hearn’s arrest, and he said he has a date to appear in court next month and is looking for legal help.

There are people out there whose TDS is so severe that they can’t stand the idea of President Trump beautifying our nation’s capital and have to take matters into their own hands to destroy it.
It’s utterly ridiculous. Renovating a national monument should not be controversial, folks!
