Vice President JD Vance went into the witches’ den today to talk about politics and his new book, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith.
While there, he taught the ladies of The View a little lesson in humility while explaining how he went from being a critic during President Trump’s first term to Vice President in his second administration.
Vance absolutely nailed it, masterfully describing how his original predictions about President Trump and his policies turned out to be flat-out wrong.
So, he had to humble himself and join Team Trump in the name of making our country great — rather than pridefully pressing on in blind hatred.
Watch this for yourself:
WOW! JD Vance says it PERFECTLY
VANCE: “I was a critic of Trump in 2015 and 2016. Now I’m the VP of the US in the Trump admin.”
JOY BEHAR: “Yeah, what happened?”
VANCE: “Well, Joy, a little HUMILITY. When you make predictions and those predictions turn out to be false, you got to ask yourself, well, what made me wrong about that? What did I not understand or not appreciate?”
“For example, I said that Donald Trump’s economic policies would not lead to wage growth. They did in the first term. That was actually a major, major thing!” 🔥
“I said that we couldn’t bring back any of those factory jobs because I kind of had given into this idea that those jobs were disappearing, but actually Donald Trump, you saw a manufacturing boom during that administration!”
“So there’s a certain point where you say, you know, I made predictions about this. I ended up being wrong. And in politics and anything, I think it’s important to just say, you know what, I got some things wrong and I was wrong about him.”
Boom!

At another moment during his appearance on The View, JD Vance admitted that he was deceived by fake news stories about President Trump.
But, he eventually woke up and realized that “so many of the things that people said about him weren’t actually true.”

VP OPENLY ADMITS he bought into BS from fake news shows like The View.
“I was WRONG during the first campaign.. I was led to believe by the stories I read, stories that said Donald Trump said that ‘ALL Mexicans were RAPlSTS.'”
“He NEVER said that. What he said is that certain South American countries, Central American countries, were releasing CRIMINALS into our country—including Mexico.”

Kudos to JD Vance for openly discussing all of this.
Being wrong is part of being human. But, being able to admit when you weren’t right about something and change course takes character and courage.
Vance’s honesty here is very refreshing.
And, it certainly resonates with a lot of people who were maybe skeptical of President Trump or even part of the liberal bandwagon back in 2016.
Over the past decade, we have seen many people who started out as Trump critics gradually shift over to supporting him once they see through the fake news’ BS and actually look at all the great things President Trump is doing for our nation.
While those women on The View may not ever understand this, perhaps some people who watched today’s show will.
This X user makes an excellent point:
He didn’t convince any of those hags, but he might have gotten through to some of the viewers, and that was the purpose.
