A UFC post-fight clip is making the rounds again because the fighter did something rare with the victory mic.

Lightweight Grant Dawson was still catching his breath after beating Mateusz Rebecki at UFC 328 when he used the microphone for a direct Christian message.

MJTruth shared the video on Telegram with this caption:

In the clip, Dawson cites John 3:16 before telling viewers that Jesus changed his life and saved his life.

It was not the normal post-fight routine of thanking sponsors, calling out the next opponent, and moving on.

The moment drew attention from faith-focused outlets after UFC 328:

The fight result itself was not in dispute.

Cageside Press summed up the finish this way:

Rebecki would be unable to escape the position and with twenty two seconds left in the fight tapped out to the rear naked choke submission

Tapology lists the core bout data this way:

Event: UFC 328: Chimaev vs. Strickland.

Date: May 9, 2026.

Location: Newark, New Jersey.

Result: Grant Dawson defeated Mateusz Rebecki by rear naked choke at 4:42 of Round 3.

MMA Fighting posted the same result from the UFC 328 card:

That is what makes the moment stand out.

Dawson had just won a real fight, in a real cage, on a major UFC card, and he chose to spend the spotlight telling people about Jesus Christ.

The Christian Post framed the broader faith moment this way:

mixed martial arts fighters used the spotlight following major Ultimate Fighting Championship victories to publicly share their Christian faith and give glory to Jesus Christ.

In an era where athletes are often careful, scripted, and sponsor-safe, Dawson did something different.

He took the victory mic and made it a testimony.
