San Francisco YMCA Refused To Ban Men In Women’s Locker Rooms, But Did This Instead

The transgender contagion that took root across multiple institutions nationwide in recent years has largely diminished since President Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

But there are still plenty of examples proving that the trans agenda is en vogue in certain circles … particularly in deep-blue enclaves like San Francisco.

As Fox News reported, one female patron of a YMCA in that city complained about a biological male undressing in the women’s locker room, and this was the response:

According to the Daily Mail, the Stonestown Family YMCA posted new rules that read, “Nudity should be discreet, limited, and brief.” The policy change was reportedly announced on a flyer hanging in the changing room headlined “NEW YMCA LOCKER ROOMS GUIDELINES 2026.”

“Nudity is permitted only while actively showering. Members are expected to put clothing on or be covered during use of the space outside of showering,” it continued.

The flyer added, “Respect privacy and personal space. Please maintain appropriate distance from others, be mindful of personal space during times of undress, and demonstrate courtesy at all times.”

The Daily Mail reported that “Sammy,” who frequented the Stonestown Family YMCA for two years, has not been seen since the new rules went into effect.

While some, including the Daily Mail, have described the new policy as a de facto ban for “Sammy,” it appears the trans individual simply opted not to abide by the updated policy.

Several social media users pointed that out:

Summary: For over two years, a man lingered naked in the women’s locker room at the Stonestown YMCA for hours at a time, up to six days a week, in front of women and young children. When women asked him to cover up, he became belligerent.

Women tried everything: multiple meetings with management, a petition signed by more than 100 gym members, protests, and police reports. Still, YMCA management refused to admit there was even a problem.

Now, finally, Stonestown YMCA has posted new restrictive locker-room rules:

“Nudity should be discreet, limited, and brief…”

And suddenly, the man is nowhere to be seen.

No other Bay Area YMCA appears to have these rules. This policy is targeted purely at the women of Stonestown, who are now being subjected to strange new restrictions because the state of California protects a man’s right to expose himself in the women’s locker room instead of protecting women and children.

Women complained about a naked man in their locker room.

The YMCA responded by policing women.

Many others took issue with the way the outlet addressed the topic from the outset:

Here’s how the New York Post covered the story:

Additional provisions specify that hair dryers are to be used only “for drying head hair” and require that children age 5 and older using a locker room designated for the opposite sex be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Some members said the changes appear to respond to ongoing concerns raised over the past two years about behavior inside the facility.

Critics alleged that Sammy at times remained unclothed in shared spaces for extended periods, including while grooming or using communal areas.

Supporters, however, said she was being unfairly singled out and argued that she was entitled to use facilities consistent with her gender identity.
