In a move of utter betrayal, South Carolina Republicans have just killed a Trump-backed redistricting effort that would have eliminated the state’s only Democrat district.
Despite having a super-majority in the state Senate, Republicans are choosing to protect Rep. Jim Clyburn’s safe, racially-gerrymandered seat that he’s been unfairly holding for over three decades.
Today, a dozen Republican state senators joined Democrats to block the new congressional map from advancing.
Effectively, this means that the redistricting move is dead.
Rep. Adam Morgan shared the names of the RINO traitors:

Looks like it was all a set up.
The proposed congressional map was passed by the South Carolina House last week. But, the state Senate refused to even hold a vote on the map.
So, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster called them back for a special session to address the proposal.
Unfortunately, in the end, RINOs got their way and blocked the measure again — for a final time.
After delaying the vote themselves, these Republicans had the gumption to argue that they could not vote in favor of the new congressional map because early voting has already started in South Carolina.
NBC News reported further:
The failed vote was a surprise rejection of President Donald Trump, who had urged lawmakers to pass a redrawn map that eliminated the state’s single majority-Black district, represented by longtime Democratic Rep. James Clyburn.
The South Carolina House approved the map last week in hopes of putting it into place for this year’s midterm elections. As part of the effort, lawmakers also sought to set another primary election for the affected districts in August. But after early voting began on Tuesday for the previously scheduled June primary, some Republicans changed their tune, arguing it was too late to enact new district lines.
“Neither my conscience nor my common sense will allow me to stop an election that is already underway,” said Republican state Sen. Richard Cash, a Republican who changed his vote due to timing.
Following the vote, another prominent Republican, state Sen. Tom Davis, condemned the effort. An earlier redistricting process took nine months of consideration, he said, while this push moved forward over the course of a few weeks.
“We have completely outsourced our constitutional obligation to prepare a congressional redistricting map to a consultant in Washington, D.C. We have no idea, no idea how that map was created,” Davis said.
If you want to see it, here’s the clip of Sen. Davis explaining why he voted against the new, fair map:

TIME TO “INDIANA” SOUTH CAROLINA and run primary challenges!
It appears this will fail and Clyburn (D) — who’s held a cheated-in seat for 33 years — will get to keep his seat for 2 more years.
They DELAYED it to when early voting starts, today, and used that as an excuse to oppose it.
What a joke!
This is exactly why the American people are fed up with these fake Republicans.
The only bright side to all this is that South Carolinians now know who to primary out this November…

Indiana crossed MAGA. Indiana lost.
South Carolina, you were warned.
Primary them ALL.
We already saw it happen in Indiana. Now, it’s time to oust all the RINOs in South Carolina who are opposing President Trump’s agenda!
Politico noted:
It’s a massive pivot from just two weeks ago, when GOP Gov. Henry McMaster chose to call a special season to redraw after pressure from Trump and the White House. Now, Republican lawmakers who defected in South Carolina could face the same fate in 2028 as Indiana lawmakers who rebuked Trump — and then lost their primaries to MAGA-aligned challengers.
What are your thoughts?
Should the RINOs who voted against the new South Carolina map be primaried?
