President Trump Returns to X to BLAST Thomas Massie for Putting Out FRAUDULENT Endorsement

Rep. Thomas Massie and President Donald Trump

President Trump just made his return to X!

In his first post on the social media platform in months, President Trump took aim at Rep. Thomas Massie ahead of today’s high-stakes primary in Kentucky.

President Trump accused Rep. Massie of sending out an old endorsement to make it look like he had Trump’s support and called on him to withdraw the “fake statement.”

Horrible Congressman Thomas Massie put out an old Endorsement, from many years ago, of him by me long before I found out that he was the Worst Congressman in the History of our Country. I endorsed Ed Gallrein, a true American Patriot, which Massie knows full well, so the statement that he put out is fraudulent, just like HE is fraudulent. WITHDRAW YOUR FAKE STATEMENT, MASSIE, RIGHT NOW! President DONALD J. TRUMP

For some context, it’s being reported that Rep. Massie’s campaign sent out a highly misleading text to Kentucky voters today that included President Trump’s former endorsement of the congressman from back in 2022.

Conveniently, the date of the endorsement was removed, in an apparent attempt to to pass it off as current.

For reference, here’s the text that voters received:

Yikes.

Whatever you think of Rep. Massie, this is an incredibly fraudulent and scummy move, indeed.

The Washington Examiner confirmed the text as real:

Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-KY) campaign sent a misleading text to Kentucky voters on Tuesday, the day of his primary, that implied President Donald Trump supports the incumbent when that is clearly not the case.

The text featured Trump’s 2022 endorsement of Massie, who has frequently opposed the president’s agenda in Congress.

“Congressman Thomas Massie is a Conservative Warrior for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District!” Trump said in part at the time. “Strong on the Border and our Military and Vets, Thomas Massie has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Trump is backing former Navy SEAL officer Ed Gallrein to unseat Massie in the midterm elections this year.

The text ended with a statement that Massie’s campaign paid for the message on primary day, according to Washington Examiner reporter Salena Zito.

The Washington Examiner contacted Massie’s campaign for comment to clear up the confusion.

The seven-term congressman is trying to hold on to his seat for at least another two years amid attacks from Trump.

Prior to firing off his X post in response to the Massie campaign’s utterly disgraceful move, President Trump railed on the congressman while touring the White House ballroom construction site.

Tonight’s race in Kentucky is expected to be close, with Trump-endorsed Gallrein slightly leading in the polls.

Newsweek shared several key polling numbers:

Polls suggest Massie and Gallrein are divided by only a razor-thin margin.

Massie led initial polling of the primary back in April, but the latest information suggests the race has tightened in its final stretch, with both candidates leading recent surveys.

Latest Polls

Overall trend: Gallrein leads across all four polls, though margins vary.

GrayHouse poll (May 16–17, 435 voters):

  • Gallrein: 51 percent
  • Massie: 44 percent
  • Undecided: 5 percent

SoCal Strategies poll (May 15–16, 450 GOP voters):

  • Gallrein: 49 percent
  • Massie: 42 percent
  • Undecided: 9 percent (could be decisive)
