On Sunday, a new statue was installed in NYC that truly expresses the way many New Yorkers feel about their city’s leadership…
The statue, created by artist and activist Scott LoBaido, depicts a giant middle finger flipping the bird.
And, the best part is that it was placed right in front of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s City Hall!

Mamdani definitely deserves this!

Scott LoBaido called the work of art a “gift” to Mayor Mamdani from the people of NYC.
Watch him explain the statue in his own words here:

This isn’t the first time LoBaido has used bold, provocative art as a form of protest.
The Dallas Express has more on his background:
LoBaido, known for patriotic paintings and sculptures as well as public protests, placed the work around 3:40 p.m. ET. It remained in place into the evening with no immediate removal by authorities.
LoBaido has a documented history of using art and direct action against city policies. He previously protested congestion pricing by mounting a vehicle and displaying a large middle-finger sign to cameras at Columbus Circle, leading to his arrest in January 2025, per SILive. He has also thrown pizzas over the gates of City Hall to oppose restrictions on coal- and wood-fired ovens, Fox News reported.
Scott LoBaido, born April 6, 1965, in Staten Island, New York, is recognized for flag-themed paintings and politically charged works. He describes himself as a “Freedom Fighter” and has created pieces targeting previous city officials, including former Mayor Bill de Blasio and the Manhattan district attorney.
Public records and news reports indicate LoBaido funds and installs many of his protest works independently or with limited private support, consistent with his past solo actions. No public funding or large organizational backing has been reported for the middle finger statue, per SILive.
ADVERTISEMENTThe sculpture represents LoBaido’s expression of frustration with Mamdani’s leadership. Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, took office as mayor on January 1, 2026, becoming the city’s youngest mayor in more than a century. Critics have highlighted his progressive policies on issues including public safety, housing, and taxation as drivers of resident discontent.
At the time of writing this, it doesn’t appear like the statue has been taken down.
We’ll see how long it stays up in the liberal hellhole that is New York City.
It’s certainly an accurate representation of how every sane New Yorker views the communist destruction of their city under Mayor Mamdani.
Many patriots on X believe it’s an appropriate form of artistic expression, given the circumstances:

Statue pointed straight at Zohran Mamdani’s City Hall!
This is how millions feel about his Marxism and the damage it’s doing to New York. Bold, loud, and long overdue. 😂

A work or art Scott. A fitting statue to show the present history of today’s dilemma.

But, some folks think it goes too far:
I disagree. We used to have respect as a society for the type of example we set for our youth. I disagree, no matter who does it, and for whatever reason they do it.

That is totally inappropriate for a public square – art or not!
