I wasn’t expecting to see President Trump alongside podcaster Joe Rogan anytime soon.
On Saturday, President Trump signed an executive order on the use of psychedelic drugs for medical research and clinical trials.
Noticeably behind President Trump during the Executive Order signing ceremony was Joe Rogan.

Rogan’s appearance inside the Oval Office shocked many, considering that in recent weeks, the podcaster has been quite critical of the Trump administration’s decision to conduct military operations in Iran.
MS NOW reported more on Rogan’s appearance at the White House and Trump’s executive order:
Joe Rogan truly had President Donald Trump’s back on Saturday.
The world’s No. 1 bro-caster, who has expressed some buyer’s remorse over his endorsement of Trump, stood directly behind the president, who was seated at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office signing an executive order to ease restrictions on medical research and treatments using psychedelic drugs.
And it happened because of Rogan, Trump said.
“I got a call from a number of people, including the great Joe Rogan, and he said, ‘We have to do something about this,’” Trump said. “And I looked into it.”
The executive order directs the Food and Drug Administration to support clinical trials for psychedelics and speed up the process to approve drugs deemed to be safe and effective, including ibogaine, psilocybin, MDMA and LSD, all of which are illegal in the United States.
Flanked by Rogan, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya and others, Trump said experimental treatments with psychedelics “have shown life-changing potential for those suffering from severe mental illness and depression,” including veterans.
“If these turn out to be as good as people are saying, it’s going to have a tremendous impact,” Trump said.

At one point during the signing, Trump made Rogan laugh:

The Hill reported on Rogan’s previous critical remarks of the Iran War:
Podcaster Joe Rogan is not letting up on his criticism of the joint U.S.-Israel conflict in Iran, commenting during his show on Thursday that he found the situation “terrifying.”
“It’s f—ing terrifying,” Rogan responded after actor David Cross asked about his opinion on the war. “All of it’s terrifying. Any time you’re involved with — you’re shooting missiles into towns and blowing things up, blowing up infrastructure, blowing up bridges — you know, and Israel’s blowing up Lebanon now.
“It’s like, what the f— are we doing? Like, how is this still going on?” he added.
“It’s also clear there was no plan. Zero, none,” Cross chimed in. He said moments later that he thought the U.S. was “in a worse place now than before this thing started,” referencing President Trump’s first-term decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018.
ADVERTISEMENTBoth said that Iran’s regime was “terrible,” condemning its brutal treatment of protesters, but echoed an argument made by some conservatives that military intervention abroaddeparts from Trump’s campaign promises.
