Trump Admin Halts Payments To Hundreds Of California Hospice Agencies In Latest Fraud Crackdown

Minnesota fraud might be rampant, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The Trump administration recently indicated that it would be investigating government fraud on a “state-by-state” basis, and California is perhaps unsurprisingly among the first to emerge as a hotbed.

Breitbart provided coverage of the latest development:

Since the Task Force to Eliminate Fraud was launched on March 16, Vance and his team have hit the ground running to root out where the American taxpayers are being ripped off by bad actors. On March 25, a source familiar with the matter told Breitbart News that the task force and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) had identified and suspended 70 Los Angeles-based hospice and home health businesses that showed red flags of being fraudulent.

As of Wednesday, 447 hospice businesses and 23 home health agencies around the state have been cut off because of alleged fraud, with the total of those suspensions being valued at more than $600 million.

The numbers, obtained by Fox News, illustrate just how deep the corruption runs in California and other Democrat-run states where healthcare services have taken taxpayer money with little to no oversight — and this is likely just the tip of the iceberg.

“Where there is fraud, the task force will find it,” a Vance spokesperson told Breitbart News. “We will not stop until every hard-earned taxpayer dollar goes toward the honest Americans who deserve them.”

It’s just the latest evidence of fraud and waste across the state under the leadership of Gov. Gavin Newsom:

Here’s what Small Business Administration head Kelly Loeffler said about the Trump administration’s priorities, per the Daily Caller:

“I mean, here we are amid tax season, and Americans are being asked to send their tax bills,” Loeffler told the DCNF. “And so what Americans want to know is that when they submit a payment to the IRS [Internal Revenue Service], is that money is going to be used, appropriately within the federal government.”

“Well, that has not happened for too long,” she continued. “And thanks to President [Donald] Trump’s leadership, he’s commissioned the creation of the fraud task force, of which I’m a member [alongside] 10 cabinet members, along with the leadership of Vice President [JD] Vance. We convened our task force, and that’s a great forum for us to be able to talk about the fraud that we have found.”

She also claimed that the Trump administration is planning on “going state by state” to identify and combat fraud.
