Whatever happened to believing all survivors of sexual assault?
She has nothing to gain and everything to lose. It's time we #BelieveSurvivors instead of attack them.

As WLT Report previously reported, Rep. Eric Swalwell has been accused of sexually assaulting his former staffer.
On Friday, in an exclusive interview with CNN, a former staffer of Rep. Swalwell claimed the congressman, who is running for Governor of California, raped her while she was intoxicated.
Swalwell has since responded to the allegations in a video on X, denying them.
CNBC reported more on Swawell’s statement:
In a stunning political reversal, prominent supporters of Rep. Eric Swalwell’s campaign for California governor withdrew their support Friday after the congressmember denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman twice, including when she worked for him.
Swalwell was among the leading Democrats in the race to replace outgoing Gov. Gavin Newsom. But in just hours, he saw his most prominent supporters – including U.S. Sen. Adam Schiff and powerful labor unions – drop their endorsements and call for his exit from the race.
Swalwell denied the woman’s account and suggested they were part of an attack due to his campaign’s momentum.
“These allegations are false and come on the eve of an election against the frontrunner for governor,” Swalwell said in a statement. “For nearly 20 years, I have served the public — as a prosecutor and a congressman and have always protected women. I will defend myself with the facts and where necessary bring legal action. My focus in the coming days is to be with my wife and children and defend our decades of service against these lies.”

Here was CNN’s exclusive interview:
🚨 CNN interviews a woman who alleges that she was raped by Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who is running for governor in California.

The California Democrat Party has released a statement regarding the allegations, per KATV:
The California Democratic Party released a statement about the allegations.
“The allegations against Congressmember Swalwell are deeply disturbing,” CADEM Chair Rusty Hicks wrote. “First, the stories of victims and survivors should be heard and believed. Period. Second, any person engaged in misconduct must take responsibility and be held accountable for their actions – including a Member of Congress and candidate for Governor. Finally, my call for all – repeat, all – candidates for Governor to ‘honestly assess the viability of their candidacy and campaign’ still stands. In fact, that call is more important now than ever before.
