BIZARRE: CNN Deletes Video Titled “Remembering Michael J. Fox” Despite The Actor Still Being ALIVE

This was a major blunder.

Even for CNN.

Rumors quickly swirled on Wednesday that actor Michael J. Fox died after CNN posted a video titled “Remembering Michael J. Fox.”

There’s a major problem, though.

Michael J. Fox is not dead!

Here’s the post that has since been deleted by CNN:

Yahoo News reported more on the bizarre post by CNN:

Beloved “Back to the Future” star Michael J. Fox is still alive, despite a headline from CNN on Wednesday that seemed to suggest otherwise. The news outlet ran a video with a headline that read “Remembering the life of actor Michael J. Fox.” Leading fans to believe they may have mistakenly run an obituary.

The video, which seems to have been deleted from the CNN page, is still up on their MSN account. It details the actor’s rise to fame through his roles in “Back to the Future” and “Spin City,” and his activism for Parkinson’s Disease, which he has battled since 1991. The video had somber music attached to it, furthering fans’ assumption that this may have been an obituary.

Fortunately, Michael J. Fox is alive, recently making a surprise appearance at Paleyfest, joining the wrap party for season three of “Shrinking.” Fox shared an embrace with longtime friend Harrison Ford, who praised him for his performance in the show. When asked if he would return for season four, Fox responded openly.

“I would love to do it; it would be my honor,” said Fox.

Here was Fox’s latest public appearance just a day before CNN made the video:

Fox has been battling Parkinson’s disease for over two decades, which is why he struggles to stand alone as seen in the video above.

TMZ obtained a statement from Fox’s spokesperson:

A CNN spokesperson tells TMZ … “The package was published in error; we have removed it from our platforms and send our apologies to Michael J. Fox and his family.”

Everyone can take a deep breath … Michael J. Fox is alive.

The beloved actor’s representative tells TMZ … “Michael is doing great. He was at PaleyFest yesterday. He was on stage and was giving interviews.”
