HUGE: Colorado Court THROWS OUT Tina Peters’ Sentence!

73-year-old former county clerk Tina Peters just moved one step closer to freedom.

Amid pressure from President Trump, the Colorado court system has thrown out her 9-year prison sentence over a violation of her First Amendment rights.

The court basically confirmed what we’ve known all along: it was political persecution!

Specifically, the judge gave Tina Peters an unfair sentence because she used her First Amendment right to continue to speak out about the 2020 election being stolen.

So now, Tina Peters will be re-sentenced — without taking into account anything she said about election fraud.

It’s possible that she will be sentenced to an amount of time that she’s already served. In that case, she would finally walk free!

As you may remember, Peters was wrongfully and harshly sentenced to nine years in prison for trying to preserve evidence of 2020 election fraud.

Ever since, she has been serving out her sentence while being sick behind bars and trying to get justice.

While this may seem like a win, it’s really more like a mixed bag.

The Colorado courts did order her sentence to be thrown out and re-evaluated — but, they also upheld her conviction and refused to honor President Trump’s pardon.

The Hill reported:

Peters, who served as a clerk in Mesa County, was sentenced to nine years in prison after being convicted on seven of the 10 counts she faced. Prosecutors said she sneaked in a man associated with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a staunch Trump ally, to make a copy of the county’s voter systems, with the aim of exposing alleged fraud.

Judges on the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled that a lower court wrongly weighed Peters’s continued promotion of 2020 election fraud conspiracy theories in deciding her sentence.

“We reverse her sentence because it was based in part on improper consideration of her exercise of her right to free speech,” the court wrote, sending her case back to the trial judge for resentencing.

At her 2024 sentencing, District Judge Matthew Barrett criticized Peters for her apparent lack of remorse, calling her a “charlatan” who abused her role to “peddle snake oil.” Before she was sentenced, she insisted her efforts were in service of the greater good.

“I am convinced you would do it all over again if you could,” the judge said. “You’re as defiant as any defendant this court has ever seen.”

Because Peters’s conviction was on state charges, only Colorado’s Democratic governor has the power to grant her a pardon. But President Trump issued her a symbolic pardon last year, attributing it to her efforts to “expose Voter Fraud in the Rigged 2020 Presidential Election.” There is no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 election.

This innocent woman has suffered enough!
