Gov. DeSantis Moves to Get Judge IMPEACHED After She Freed Known Predator Who K*lled 5-Year-Old Girl

Far too many entirely preventable, tragic murders have taken place across our nation because of leftist, activist judges freeing known criminals.

One such example happened in Florida last year, after Judge Tiffany Baker let convicted sex offender Daniel Spencer out on bond, pending sentencing.

Spencer had been convicted of trying to meet an underage minor for sex. When he was released, he went home and murdered his 5-year-old stepdaughter, Missy.

Today, Gov. Ron DeSantis passed Missy’s Law in honor of the little girl to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

He also called on the Florida Legislature to impeach Judge Baker for her reckless decision to let this monster go free to kill.

BREAKING: Gov. Ron DeSantis is moving to get a radical leftist judge IMPEACHED after she RELEASED a known predator who went on to kill an innocent 5-year-old girl

YES!! Start a nationwide trend! 🔥

DeSantis is petitioning the State Legislature to impeach Judge Tiffany Baker: “Until you start holding these judges ACCOUNTABLE, they are going to continue to find ways to benefit the criminal element!”

“This was an outrage. This was such an easy call to make sure that this guy was put behind bars, and this judge refused to do it!”

IMPEACH HER, and start impeaching nationwide 🇺🇸

Missy’s Law bars judges from releasing anyone who is convicted of a violent or sex-related crime.

CBS News reported:

Felons convicted of violent and sexual crimes won’t be released prior to sentencing under a bill signed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday.

The bill (HB 455) is called “Missy’s Law” after Melissa “Missy” Mogle, a Tallahassee 5-year-old killed by her stepfather, Daniel Spencer, last year as he awaited sentencing for an unrelated charge of attempting to meet a minor for sex.

Before signing the measure in a ceremony in Tampa, DeSantis called on the House to impeach 2nd Judicial Circuit Court Judge Tiffany Baker-Carper, who released Spencer pending sentencing.

“To my friends in the Florida House of Representatives, I don’t think what you’ve done is enough,” DeSantis said. “Until you start holding these judges accountable, they’re going to continue to find ways to benefit the criminal element. This was an outrage.”

Florida AG James Uthmeier provided more details on Missy’s law in an X post:

This is a great step in the right direction.

But, Gov. DeSantis argues that it’s not enough just to make it illegal for judges to release predators going forward.

We need to hold judges like Tiffany Baker accountable.

That’s why he is pushing for impeachment.

Florida Phoenix has more:

It takes a two-thirds vote from the Florida House to impeach judicial officers, followed by a two-thirds vote in the Senate to remove them. Republicans make up nearly 70% of lawmakers in each chamber.

DeSantis’ impeachment call came Tuesday as he signed Missy’s Law. A priority bill for Attorney General James Uthmeier, the legislation demands judges keep defendants convicted of dangerous crimes in custody instead of freeing them ahead of sentencing.

That’s what happened in the case of Daniel Spencer, a 35-year-old convicted in an underage sex sting for attempting to meet a 15-year-old girl. Leon County Judge Tiffany Baker-Carper didn’t lock him up pending sentencing because he’d already been out of jail for a year without violations and had no violent criminal history, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

But a month later, he — along with the girl’s mother, Chloe Spencer — beat and murdered his stepdaughter, Missy Mogle. Both Spencers were charged with second-degree murder in May 2025.

Baker-Carper was elected to the Second Judicial Circuit on Nov. 3, 2020.

“It’s a miscarriage of justice, a dereliction of judicial duty,” DeSantis said. “If we had this bill in place then, Missy would be alive today.”

What do you think?

Should judges who release criminals who go on to commit murder be impeached?
