The judicial coup continues…
A federal judge is now holding the Florida Attorney-General in contempt of court for…literally doing his job.
Last month, Obama-appointed U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams ruled that Florida’s immigration laws somehow violated the Constitution.
Attorney General James Uthmeier responded by instructing state law enforcement to ignore her ruling and continue working with the Trump administration to arrest illegal aliens.
Judge Williams wasn’t too happy with that and threatened to hold him in contempt of court, but AG Uthmeier didn’t back down.
Now, she is carrying out with that threat.
In other words, she is holding him in contempt of court for refusing to comply with her order to break the law.
Take a look:

MAJOR BREAKING: Obama judge holds Florida Republican attorney general in CONTEMPT OF COURT because he REFUSED to prevent police from arresting illegal aliens and working with the Trump admin.
THIS WAS A BRAVE ACTION!
AG James Uthmeier had previously told police that Obama Judge Kathleen Williams’ court order blocking state immigration law did NOT apply to them because they were not party to the lawsuit.
This MUST BE OVERTURNED!
“The Court finds Uthmeier in civil contempt of the Court’s April 18th Order (DE 49) requiring Defendants to provide actual notice of the TRO to any law enforcement officer with power to enforce S.B. 4-C.”

AG Uthmeier released this statement on X:
If being held in contempt is what it costs to defend the rule of law and stand firmly behind President Trump’s agenda on illegal immigration, so be it. https://t.co/PPrFEapaKv

The Miami Herald has more on activist Judge Kathleen Williams’ contempt order:
U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams, who strongly criticized Uthmeier’s conduct at a hearing last month, said the state attorney general crossed the line on April 23 when he informed police agencies “there remains no judicial order that properly restrains you from” making arrests under Florida’s immigration statute.
“Litigants cannot change the plain meaning of words as it suits them, especially when conveying a court’s clear and unambiguous order,” Williams wrote in her contempt order, citing a passage from Lewis Carroll’s classic, “Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There.”
“Fidelity to the rule of law can have no other meaning.”
The New York Times detailed the terms of the order:
The judge ordered Mr. Uthmeier’s office to produce biweekly reports, in coordination with state attorneys and other law enforcement agencies, detailing whether “any arrests, detentions, or law enforcement actions” under the disputed provision of the state law had occurred. The first report is due on July 1.
The court must also be immediately notified of any arrests under the law’s provision, the judge said. In the event any arrests occur, the court will require the attorney general to again notify law enforcement agencies of the judge’s order “to prevent future violations.”
Since when does the judicial branch have power to overrule federal directives?
This is absolutely ridiculous and should be overturned ASAP…
Judicial activism at its worst. Standing up for the law shouldn’t be punished. Overturn this madness.
