On Thursday morning, the House of Representatives passed another War Powers resolution seeking to limit President Trump’s military actions in Iran.
The vote was 214-208, with four Republicans crossing the aisle to vote in favor of the resolution.

What a WASTE of time and betrayal of President Trump while he is actively fighting off Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon!… pic.twitter.com/klmoHp2UwE

Here are the names of the four RINOs who sided with Democrats to pass the anti-Trump resolution:
- Rep. Tom Barrett (R-MI)
- Rep. Warren Davidson (R-OH)
- Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY)
- Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA)

These Republican Congressmen are the exact same ones who supported a similar resolution to limit President Trump’s war powers back in June.
But, just like the first one, this resolution is essentially a waste of time.
It would never reach the president’s desk and is not binding. The only point of passing it is to symbolically express disapproval from lawmakers.
Even so, the Senate voted it down later this afternoon.

The Senate would rather vote on this useless piece of paper over and over instead of the SAVE America Act.

In the Senate, Susan Collins was the only Republican to vote in favor of the resolution.
And, Sen. John Fetterman was the only Democrat to vote against it.
The Hill has more details on the vote:
Senate Republicans on Thursday defeated a motion to advance a war powers resolution that would direct President Trump to withdraw U.S. troops from hostilities against Iran, even though a growing number of GOP lawmakers are voicing concerns about mounting casualties and how long the war has dragged on.
The chamber voted 47-49 on a motion to discharge the war powers resolution out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) crossed the aisle to vote with Democrats in support of it.
Centrist Sen. John Fetterman (Pa.) was the only Democrat to vote against the motion to advance the resolution.
Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who have previously voted for resolutions to curtail Trump’s authority as commander in chief, missed the vote.
Sens. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Katie Britt (R-Ala.) were also absent.
It’s utterly ridiculous that Congress even spends time — on the taxpayer’s dime — voting on such absurd resolutions.
Get moving on the SAVE America Act instead, Senate!
