Today, the House of Representatives passed a bill that mandates deportation for illegal immigrants who steal from the U.S. taxpayer by committing welfare fraud.
It’s sad that this even has to be a separate law, to tell you the truth.
It should just be basic common sense, and every Republican voted in favor of the bill.
But, in a testament to just how insane the Democratic party has become, nearly 200 Democrats voted against the bill’s passage.
Nick Sortor broke it down further:
🚨 BREAKING: The House of Representatives has just PASSED a bill requiring AUTOMATIC deportation of illegals who commit welfare fraud, 231-186 🔥
This is a NO BRAINER! But of course, 186 Democrats voted AGAINST this.

The fraud encompassed in this bill includes:
– Social Security fraud,
– SNAP (food assistance) fraud,
– Mail fraud,
– Conspiracy to defraud the U.S.,
– Theft or bribery involving federal funds,
– Identification document fraud,
– And other similar crimes involving government funds or public benefits.
Of course, illegal immigrants who commit welfare fraud are already breaking the law.
But, this bill would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to make it an explicitly deportable offense.
The fact that welfare fraud is so rampant among migrants in places like Minnesota makes it abundantly clear why a bill like this is needed.
But, unfortunately, the bill has slim chances of passing the Senate.
Fox News has more:
The bill is likely dead on arrival in the Senate given widespread opposition from Democrats. Under Senate rules, most legislation must overcome a 60-vote threshold to advance to a vote on final passage.
The vote follows heightened scrutiny from House Republicans on welfare fraud nationwide.
The House Oversight Committee in December launched a probe into massive welfare fraud involving Minnesota’s social services programs. Federal prosecutors say as much as $9 billion in taxpayer money may have been stolen in various fraud schemes and have charged nearly 100 individuals, including many of Somali descent.
House Republicans have also spotlighted reporting from independent journalist Nick Shirley, who has probed alleged daycare fraud in Minnesota and California.
“We have already seen why action is needed,” Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., said Tuesday during a House GOP leadership news conference. “Independent journalist Nick Shirley helped expose a massive fraud scheme, showing how organized and widespread these scams can become even when oversight fails.”
It’s concerning that Democrats are so against a common sense bill to deport welfare fraudsters that siphon money from the American people.
Scott Pressler did a brilliant job explaining exactly why that’s the case:
I’m just going to say it:
Democrats want non-citizens to vote.

I’m just going to say it:
Democrats want non-citizens to vote.
You know how I know?
186 democrat members of the House voted AGAINST legislation to deport illegal aliens fraudulently receiving gov’t benefits.
I mean this in earnest — how could any American be AGAINST deporting an illegal alien that is ripping off struggling American families?
The same democrat members of the House advocating on behalf of illegal aliens
are the same ones against requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote.
I can make no logical deduction other than that democrats want illegal aliens to vote in our elections.
Continue to call your Senators on behalf of the SAVE America Act.
Don’t stop until it’s done.
