The days of Volodymyr Zelensky showing up to the White House in a t-shirt and begging Daddy for money are in the past.
President Trump has made it clear that he isn’t having that.
Instead, he commands respect and isn’t giving free hand-outs.
So today, when the Ukrainian president actually showed up to the White House wearing an all-black suit, President Trump drew attention to his attire.
In the middle of the meeting, President Trump complimented Zelensky’s “very stylish” jacket!

President Trump had the whole room cracking up over his compliments to Zelenskyy’s outfit at the White House:

Upon Zelensky’s arrival at the White House, President Trump also immediately brought up his attire.

Zelensky was forced to wear a suit during his last meeting with President Trump in August after their previous meeting in February did not go so well…

The Ukrainian president received a compliment from Trump during their White House meeting after sporting a dark suit jacket over one of his trademark dark shirts.
“And I think he looks beautiful in this jacket. It’s beautiful. I hope people notice. It’s very stylish,” the president said of Zelensky’s outfit.
Zelensky faced criticism from some on the right after not wearing a jacket during his February visit to the White House, which devolved into a shouting match.
Zelensky wore a coat and a matching shirt, but not a tie, during his meeting with Trump at the White House in August.
“President Zelensky, you look fabulous in that suit,” Brian Glenn, the chief White House reporter for the conservative Real America’s Voice outlet, said at the time.
“I said the same thing,” Trump said in August. “And he’s the one that attacked you last time.”
But this time, it appears like Zelensky learned his lesson and dressed for the occasion!
Despite the fact that he dressed up, President Trump still denied Zelensky’s request to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles.
Instead, he’s pushing for a peace deal between the two nations, after yesterday’s phone call with Putin, in which President Trump said that they made a lot of progress.

The meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine was very interesting, and cordial, but I told him, as I likewise strongly suggested to President Putin, that it is time to stop the killing, and make a DEAL! Enough blood has been shed, with property lines being defined by War and Guts. They should stop where they are. Let both claim Victory, let History decide! No more shooting, no more Death, no more vast and unsustainable sums of money spent. This is a War that would have never started if I were President. Thousands of people being slaughtered each and every week — NO MORE, GO HOME TO YOUR FAMILIES IN PEACE!
