Trouble Again: Actor Alec Baldwin Crashes Range Rover Into A Tree In The Hamptons

Actor Alec Baldwin has made the front news once again but for all the wrong reasons.

According to photos obtained by the New York Post, Alec Baldwin crashed his Range Rover into a tree while he was driving through the Hamptons.

The crash comes more than a year after Baldwin was cleared of involuntary manslaughter charges stemming from the 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during filming of Rust.

The New York Post had more details to share on the crash:

Emmy-award-winning actor Alec Baldwin plowed his Range Rover into a tree while cruising through the Hamptons with his brother on Monday, according to photos shared with The Post.

Baldwin, 67, was photographed looking disheveled and annoyed as he made a call and stood with his hands in his pockets at the crash site.

His car, a white Range Rover, was smashed in the front after crashing head-on into a tree on the side of Montauk Highway in the East Hamptons, where the actor owns a ritzy summer home.

Police quickly arrived on scene and helped the duo take shelter in the pouring rain.

The Post reached out to the East Hampton Police Department for confirmation.

Baldwin was reportedly out East for the Hamptons International Film Festival, which ran from Oct. 5 to Oct 13. He is the co-chair of its Board Executive Committee.

“He has been out there all week, he attended films and moderated panels,” a source told Page Six.

TMZ reported Alec’s brother Stephen was also in the vehicle:

Alec Baldwin can’t seem to catch a break … because he was just involved in a vehicle crash in The Hamptons, TMZ has learned.

The Oscar-winning actor and his brother Stephen got into an accident in East Hampton, New York, on Monday when they barreled head-first into a tree as they drove in their Range Rover.

It’s clear from the footage — the entire front end of the SUV is totaled. What’s not clear is who was driving and who owns the Range Rover. We’ve reached out to East Hampton PD for information … so far no word back. We’ve also reached out to reps for Alec and Stephen … but all we’ve heard is crickets.

As you know, it’s been a rough few years for Alec, beginning with the 2021 “Rust” film set tragedy in which Baldwin was accused of fatally shooting Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Alec was later acquitted of manslaughter at his criminal trial and cleared of any wrongdoing.
