Yet another deranged leftist lunatic has just been arrested for sending death threats to a Republican lawmaker.
This time, Virginia GOP Del. Geary Higgins, who is the last Republican in Loudon County, was the target.
A man named Patrick Murphy was arrested after he allegedly texted Del. Higgins messages threatening to assassinate him and his kids.

Del. Higgins says that he received the messages after responding to a racist, pro-trans sign that a left-wing protestor held up outside an event where Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican candidate for Virginia governor, was speaking.
This was the sign in question:

New: A man is charged in Loudoun County with threatening to shoot Virginia lawmaker Republican Del. Geary Higgins. After Higgins sent a message informing the public about a sign a woman held at an Arlington School Board rally targeting Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, a man allegedly texted Higgins, “F*** off Geary. I will shoot u @ yer next public rally. Then send you memes with the photos. I know where your f***in kids are too.”
Fox News reported:
Higgins had texted public subscribers to his feed his response to a racist sign held by a female activist who was protesting an appearance by Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears at an Arlington County School Board rally earlier this month.
The woman stood in the vicinity of Earle-Sears’ team with a sign reading, “Hey Winsome, if trans can’t share your bathroom, then blacks can’t share my water fountain.”
Earle-Sears is an immigrant from Jamaica who would be the first Black female governor of Virginia and the second overall, after moderate Democrat Douglas Wilder who was elected in 1989.
The suspect, Patrick Murphy, allegedly texted Higgins back after the campaign blast, telling him, “F— off, Geary.”
ADVERTISEMENT“I will shoot u [at] yer (sic) next public rally [t]hen send you memes with the photos,” read the message. “I know where your f—ing kids are too,” Murphy allegedly continued. Murphy faces felony charges and a court date in Leesburg next month.
Patrick Murphy is facing felony charges, and his first court hearing is scheduled for October 20, 2025.
After having his life and the lives of his children threatened, Higgins blasted Abigail Spanberger, the Democrat candidate for governor of Virginia, for fueling violence.
Spanberger, of course, has refused to call for Democrat Virginia AG nominee Jay Jones to drop out of the race after disgusting text messages fantasizing about murdering a former GOP House Speaker came to light.
She’s also famously called on leftists to let their “rage” fuel them.
Here’s Del. Higgins’ response to that:
They shot the President.
They killed Charlie Kirk.
They threatened to kill Kim Taylor.
They said they’d kill ME at my next rally, then my kids.
Now we learn Jay Jones repeatedly said he wanted to kill Speaker Todd Gilbert⬇️
Is this what “letting your rage fuel you”looks… pic.twitter.com/fYz3sYVqRX

ABC 7News also shared this statement from Higgins:
Higgins released this statement to 7News about the threats.
“Let me be clear: threats of violence have no place in our political discourse. I will not be intimidated, silenced, or deterred from doing the job I was elected to do—fighting for my constituents in Western Loudoun and Fauquier, and standing up for common sense.
I am incredibly grateful for the great men and women in the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism and swift action in handling this matter. I ask for continued prayers for my wife and daughters and their families, as well as for all those who serve in public office during these times of increasing threats and violence.
Unfortunately, this is the direct result of the nasty lies and constant demonization from the radical left that we’ve seen over the last few years. Abigail Spanberger is telling her supporters to “let their rage fuel them”, and my opponent is up on TV right now calling me a crook and a treasonist, and blatantly lying about my record. The last two sessions in Richmond we’ve been called every name under the sun. It should be shocking to no one that continuing to your call political opponents names like ‘Nazis’ will ultimately lead to violence.”
